Travel to US being Australian Perminent Resident

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I'd like to travel to US for two weeks on my vacation in May-June 2010
with my dad.

I am Australian citizen and my dad is Australian permanent resident.

I have checked your website but still unsure what type of visa should we
apply for my dad. I believe that I can travel without visa is stated on
the website.

I will be sponsoring my dad 70 y.o.

Could you please advise:

1) what kind of visa is required for my dad

2) what documents do we need to prepare

3) how long does it take to obtain a travel visa
