Hi All,

I am preparing all the documents for B2 visa for my Parents. My husband is sponsoring them. I just got a doubt reading the FAQ section on this site. Actually my parents will pay all the money related to ticket and other expanses while staying in usa. Though I haven't mention the same in DS160. would that be better if they sponsor themselves?. How much money in their bank should they have to do so?

What are the pros and cons of self sponsoring. My husband does not have any problem in sponsoring my parents. I just want to know the best possible way to get my parents here for this summer vacation.

If they can show that they can take care of the expenses themselves, it is best to do so.

Hi, I am also in the same situation. I have asked my parents to self-sponsor. It would be really helpful, if you could share with me the list of documents that needs to be provided to the consulate and also if possible a draft of the consulate letter for self-sponsoring parents.

Have your parents got the visa?.
