Visiting US on 10 year multiple entry visa

I heard that someone was refused entry into the US at a US airport because they were visiting frequently- Just returned to India one month ago from US after 6 months of US stay.
My father who has a 10 year multiple entry visitor visa is staying with us for 5 months now. He is going to India and coming back in 10 days. I am concerned that he could be refused entry to US. IS this possible.
There are no legal or financial problems involved.
