Visitor Visa Documents

Hi,
My parents (senior citizens) have taken a visa interview date on 26th of may. But the officer who took their application forms did not take any of the other supporting documents (like DS-156 etc) except the passport. My father even asked him but he didnt even take a look at the documents. Now, I heard from one of my friends that u need to submit those docs atleast 1 month prior to the interview date.. which means I must do it tomorrow morning. Can anybody help me by providing any info u have...Any help is really really appreciated.

If it is VFS(Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune), you have to do it 12 business days before interview. (1 month is old rule.)

Else, you are with TTS and you have to carry all the documents to the interview.

Is this something new, that you need to submit all the supporting documents before the interview. My parents are going for an interview on May 19th to Chennai consulate.
Please clarify..........

Read my post again. You have to submit the documents in advance for Mumbai consulate which is handled by VFS.

Chennai, Kolkata and New Delhi are handled by TTS.

Visitor Visa Docs

Thanx a million immihelp admin....But I still dont understand why it is not mentioned anywhere on the websites that u need to submit the docs...All they say is that if u have taken dates online then u need to send the docs by courier....My parents had personally gone to the Mumbai VFS office. Do I still have to send the docs?

If you have already submitted the documents in person, you don't need to send them again.
