Visa Renewal

1.Tourist visas of self wife expire on March 4' 2012.Can we apply for renewal now itself, as we have to attend a wedding in Sep 12?
2.We want to apply on Self sponsorship. Is there a column in DS 160 for mentioning this?
For the earler visa[which is expiring], our daughter had sponsored. Will that affect our chances of getting visa renewed?
3.What docs we have to take for visa interview?

Self sponsorship

In thatt case,do you mean to say that our visa renewal application under Self Sponsorship will be definitely rejected,as we were earlier sponsered by our daughter[US Citizen], for the current visa[due expiry in March2012?].Do you suggest us not to try Self sponsorship?
If so, can we get sponsored by my sister[also US citizen] or by any other person in uS?.
Which is the best method? You see due to some personal reasons we are not asking our daughter to sponsor our visa renewal .Hence Self sponsorship route
