URGENT- Visitor visa extension (I539) and I-94

Hi,

I am in process to file an extesion for my mom's current stay by filining I-539. and I am confused if I need to submit original I-94 OR copy? Please advise.

Immihelp, you have indicated that we shall submit only a copy but on I-539, it says people wanting to extend B2 visa (visitor - pleasure) shall submit original I-94. If copy is sufficient then can you please provide a link where this information is published. Not to argue or doubt the trustworthiness of immihlpe, but just want to make sure.

Also, has anyone applied for extension with copy of I-94? How was the experience?

Also... let me know if I-134, bank statement and employment verification is required while filing for I-539?

Only copy. Read https://www.immihelp.com/usa-visas/extend.html It has link to USCIS website that clearly mentions that copy of I-94 has to be sent.

I-539 form is outdated/wrong.

Otherwise, when I click on "Form I-539" from https://www.immihelp.com/usa-visas/extend.html and get to USCIS website, the instructions state that people in B2 category shall submit original I-94.

Anyways, let me know if I need to supply from I-134 (Affidavit of support)?

How about Bank letter and employment verification letter?

Also, shall the reason/explanation for extension be mentioned on separate formal letter? Is there any sample available?

You don't need to send all those papers again.

It would be helpful to write a separate letter.

I beg to differ

I applied for my parents visitor visa extension and wrote a letter explaining why they wanted extension and they will go back after extension etc. Please check instructions on visitor visa extension. It is all there.
