Extension of visitor visa

Hi,
I am planning to extend the stay of my parents who have come here for 6months. What is the procedure for applying for extension and before how many days should I apply for extension? They have come here for the first time.

Is it adivsable to apply for the extension? Will this affect their future visits if we apply during their first visit itself?

Please suggest as it is urgent.

Yes, it does impact the future visits especially when their visa expires and your parents will go for Visa renewal .Visa officer will take it into account that they overstayed their visa.

Question regarding Supporting Documents for Extension of B2 visa

Hi,

We are planning to request for an extension of B2 visa for my in-laws. We have medical reasons for doing so. May be I did not read it well, but websites explaining the procedure for the application do not say anything about if I am suppose to provide any supporting documents explaining the medical condition like medical bills or letter from a Doctors , etc.
Any light on this matter would be really appreciated and helpful.
