I changed a lawyer after my RFE. Turned out my first lawyer was incompetent. My second lawyer did a very good job preparing a supporting letter for me. It's very important to work with a lawyer that you really trust. If your company is hiring a bad lawyer and you feel the lawyer will screw up your case, discuss with your company that you want another lawyer after the RFE (you have to convince your company that the lawyer is bad).
