Pink Slip 221(g) experience with Chennai Consulate for L2 Spouse (L1 applicant visa was issued immediately) (Year 2022)
March 29: Chennai Visa Interview
L1 and L2 together.
L1 visa issued immediately.
L2 Spouse visa refused under 221(g) providing pink slip and kept passport.
Visa officer said that after I send the requested documents listed in the pink slip, it will take about 2 weeks' time to process. She suggested to send the documents ASAP.
March 30: Sent requested documents as mentioned in the pink slip such as invitation, resume, research work, publications, job positions, travel history, funding, contact information on Chennai Admin email address given in the pink slip.
NOTE: I sent only applicable documents from the given list of the documents in the pink slip along with my marriage certificate and employment letter as 2 additional documents to support my case.

April 21: Received Passport

I attended for l1b blanket visa ;I answered all questions went well during interview however they issued pink slip refusing the visa under section 221g and asking for documents such as invitation letter, resume, position details, international travel last 10 years, trip funding, research and publications., all to be sent as soft copy through email. Sent all documents after two working days; On 24th September. Currently status is admin processing. How long it takes to get visa? What are the chances? It was a complete surprise for my family.
L1B: I am primary applicant, wife (L2 dependent and 2 kids (L2 dependents)
Update: visa got approved after 40 days wait. Approved only for two years for me however petition approved for three years. For my spouse and kids, all approved for three years
