Me and my wife are Indian Passport holder but our minor daughter is US citizen and currently have 5years e-visa which is suspended due to COID. We have already booked tickets long back for 33 days from end of December. We can get e-visa for my daughter but currently they are giving for only 30days and our itinerary is for 33 days so not sure if we can travel on 30 days visa and get a stamp for 33 days.
OCI application has been submitted on 20th November and currently under process at Houston consulate.
Just wanted to see if anyone know anything which we do not know yet.
Travel to India on Emergency visa and convert to OCI
Hi, I have already applied for OCI here in USA. However, its taking long time and I don't think I'll be able to get it before my maxout. I'm planning to apply for emergency visa (they are only giving with 6 months single entry), travel to India on Visa and my friends will collect my OCI and bring it to India within couple months.
Can anyone help me with the procedure on what to do once I get my kid's OCI in India? How do I update the Indian authorities that we got the OCI in hand?
I am of indian origin and born in India and later got US Citizenship at the age of 15 yrs old. Now, I need to travel to India in November for 3 weeks with my US Passport and OCI Card and both are all good, but my US Passport will expire in February 2022 like 2 mohths after my India travel. Is it ok or my passport should have 6 months time of expiry in my situation while travelling to India ?
Has anyone traveled on deferred U VISA? I believe that is for 3 years and then I-485 is applied and then you get a GC after 1 year. Lawyers state that if I am out of the country for more than 90 days(delay possible in getting visa in home country), I will not be eligible for GC. Is that correct?
Guys please advise me:
My visa stamp expired in August 2019, renewed by current employer A, received approved I797A valid tille August 2022.
I received offer from employer B and transfer process will be premium. I have already planned vacation.
Can I go for drop-box with New employer B's I797A before joning employer B? Do i need to submit both I797A? Any risk associated with approval.
Can I go for drop-box with current employer A's I797A though I have approved I797 from employer B?
Join the employer B, work for a few days and go for the stamping (employer is agree with my vacation plan).
Please advise. I am mechanical engineer. Never got RFE or rejection.
I and my wife have travel plans to India this October and i'm on H1b visa employed full-time by my employer. My wife is on H4-EAD working contract IT job. Since my visa is expired, I'm required to attend visa interview at US consulate to get my new H1b visa to re-enter into united states and i believe my wife has to attend the visa interview too.
Back in October 2017 i had an intense argument with my wife and she had to call cops and then i got arrested. But then she stood by my side, bailed me out of arrest, and we fought the case together. She also submitted a notarized letter at time to judge, saying it all happened by accident and she never intended for me to get arrested. But due to strict California laws I got arrested in October 2017 and I plead guilty for 'Misdemeanor PC 415(1)' in March 2019. I also attended anger management counselling as the judge has order.
Now, will I face any problems during my visa Interview for H1b at US consulate or, by Immigration during re-entry to US at port of entry given my arrest and guilty charges? Is it even safe to plan for travel out of country? Please let me know.
F1 to H1 first time EVC model with 2 middle vendor
Can someone help if they are/were in same situation.
I am planning to visit India by Feb end. I am on H1 since Oct 2016. My F1 got expired in July 2018.
I am working for same client since past 18 months. I am worried about stamping as there are two vendor between my employer (sponsor) and end client. I have letters from both vendor and planning to get end client letter.
By reading some experiences, I am really worried about this 2 vendor situation. Does VO asked about this employer chain ? has anyone gone through similar situation ? I really have to visit Inida, because of some personal situations.
