My case hasn't move forward even one step, why?
Hello, I'm in the Kansas City area. This October 7th it will be my 5th anniversary here in USA.
I submitted my application for N-400 online last August 7th (exactly 1 month ago, and 2 months before my 5th anniversary).
As of now, after one month of my application, my case hasn't move forward at all. It says:
"We are taking longer than expected to process your case. You do not need to do anything at this time."
My question is: Why my case hasn't move forward at all?. Has it something to do with the fact that I haven't reached my 5th anniversary yet?.
Based on the documentation I was able to submit my application 3 months before reaching my 5th anniversary.

Thank you for your help.

N-400 Naturalization oath ceremony - Boston
Hi all,

I am going to have my naturalization interview at the end of September at the Boston Field Office and I was wondering if anyone has recently completed their interview there and has some experiences to share concerning the following:

Does the Boston Field Office offer same day oath ceremonies?
Did anyone have their interview and had their oath straight away after the interview?

I have been checking the posts in the last few weeks and it seems some Field Offices are doing the oaths straight after the interview, so I was hoping this could be an option in Boston too.

Thanks a lot for the help!

Citizenship Interview for Parents
Hello all,

I had a question regarding citizenship interview. My parents have been GC holders for almost 5 years (Oct) and am looking at Citizenship application. They are both pretty old and my mom has dementia - it is severe enough that I know she cannot answer complex questions in an interview or take the written test. What are my options?

I am new here - please let me know if this question doesn't belong here and the appropriate forum.

Much obliged.

N400 Interview - 14 day quarantine
If my interview gets scheduled while I am overseas, is there a requirement that I would need to quarantine for 14 days before attending the n400 interview? Do they ask questions about travel before entering the USCIS field offices?
Once your interview is complete, do you turn in your green card? Or does that happen after your oath ceremony.
I have needed to travel overseas for work recently and trying to figure out my schedule with ever changing rules.
Thanks in advance!
