Arrived at 7:30 AM and finished interview by 8:45
Traveled by road to Toronto on Oct 30, stayed at DW.
My wife and myself both H1B
Questions asked:

WE: Good morning, gave the folder
VO: H1B and H4
WE: No, both H1B
VO: looked at DS-160 from, both H1B, same location, same office & laughed
WE: Yes, not same office, laughed
VO: are you both Doctors?
WE: No
VO: I see, both did masters in US
WE: Yes
VO: to me: Which university & course?
Me: blah, blah
VO: give me your resume
Me: gave
VO:explain me your job in lay man terms, so that I can understand?
Me: blah blah, one line ans
VO: to my wife same questions
answered
VO: Got disturbed by some one else, excuses himself, leaves and come back apologies
we : No problem
VO: types in system for 10-15 min, interchanges our both Passports
We: Tension mounts looking at his grim face
VO: finally gives up and tells us your visa is approved
We: thank you
VO: but there is glitch, come on Nov 9th to pick up?
WE: ohh OK
VO: OK, come back on 8th
WE: thank you
Online status showed in admin processing on the day of pick up, at the end told its not ready, I said i was approved but why delay, any issues, they told that its system problem come back tomorrow
Next day wen to pick u and finally got passport and drove back same night.
At the US border gave me wrong end date on my I-94, trying to fix the issue.
Suggestion: Be dressed in formal attire best to suit up, I have seen all of them in jeans and t-shirt, don't take any chances, be prepared.

I have couple of questions, can someone please answer:
1. They have not collected the physical photo from me? Should they have taken the photo from me ?
2. Currently CEAC tracked shows as Administrative Processing even though it is approved, and mentions :Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks, or longer. As explained on the day of your interview, if further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved when administrative processing is finished, you will receive notification to collect the passport with the visa from the Loomis branch you selected when you booked your appointment. "

Approved - Vancouver - 8th Nov
Hi All, my interview was today.
First time H1
F1 to H1
Interview time: 7:45am
Arrived at consulate: 7:15am
Lady checked the appointment time, checked the Passport, i797 copy, asked if I have a recent photo
Deposited my phone, security person took me to first floor
They asked to put all belongings in a bin for security check
Went to another window where they rechecked the docs and put a rubber band on it
Next window for finger prints
Then a security lady took me to 20th floor
Waited in the queue for my trun, there was only one window open
Window 2 with a male officer, he was pretty quick.
Question 1 : who is your employer
Me: Answered
Question 2 : what is your role?
Me: Scrum Master
Him: what master?
Me: Scrum Master
Him: how do you explain that to a layman?
Me: it's like a project manager for agile development team
Him: after typing for 10-15seconds. Your visa is approved you can come and pick up your passport from the consulate on next Tuesday
Suggestion - Don't go too early to the consulate they only allow you inside close to your appointment time. Everyone who comes early has to stand on the street and it was very cold today.

[Ottawa] Traveling to Ottawa on Dec 1st for Interview on Dec 3rd.

Call to appear for second round interview
Hi All,
I received an email today from us consulate to attend a second round interview again. i had my interview in october and was given 221G. later they asked some additional docs and then they verified by contacting client also.
I am not sure on why I am called for interview again. I am working from 4 years in US and my employment model is EC.
anyone faced similar scenarios?

Interview time: 11:15 AM PST
Went 1 hour early, but was let inside. Took my US citizen 2 year old with me. Regular security scan and screening - thumb impression and photo scan. On 20th floor is the actual interview with following questions:
1. Is this your first H1?
2. What is your title?
3. What is your role ?
4. Salary ?
5. Work directly / do you have a client?
6. Highest degree?
Visa is approved. Pick up from the embassy on 11/08/2018 between 2:15 pm to 3:15 pm.
