F1 Renewal while on Stem OPT in Canada Vancouver
Went to appointment today December 17, 2019 in Canada, Vancouver. Interview went smooth, and immigration officer told me to expect my passport in 3-5 business days.
Went to check my status few hours later and saw status was "Administrative Processing" with the following description: "Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks, or longer. As explained on the day of your interview, if further information is needed, you will be contacted." Note the "several weeks or longer" :O
Does anybody know if "Administrative Processing" is a common status that people would see right after the interview? Should I prepare myself to wait longer than 3-5 business days? Should it have said "Issued/Approved" instead?

If you get the white 221g slip and the VO doesnt ask for any additional documentation but retains the passport, how long am i looking at?

Cannot see any dates prior to May
Hello,
I do not see any date in any consulate before May 1 2020 . Is this normal? Causing many sleepless nights as we have to be in India by May 6.
I don't have a PR from Canada and have one dependent. Perhaps that restricts things?
If i don't get anything , worse come to worse, can i transfer my DS-160 to an Indian consulate?

hi all,
I have been trying to schedule appointment for toronto from last week but nothing is available. time being i have scheduled for ottawa location for 9th, even there no earlier date available. May i know is there a chance toronto dates will be available for Jan or Feb? any idea what frequency dates will be released? Are these dates available based on your current status (some one is saying in blog they see different dates which I am not)? please advise. thanks

H4 Visa Update Calgary
Hi,
I attended my H4 visa stamping on november 26th 2019. My visa is on administrative processing since then. No update on the CEAC site. This evening i gav a call to Department of state to check on the status of my visa application. I was informed that i need to attend a folow up interview next week. The status is not yet updated online. The person at departmetn of state asked me to send an email to consulate for further instructions. Does anyone know about the follow up interview? Please let me know. Thanks
