I took Atlas America visitor insurance through insubuy. Mother-in-law had issues and we visited IN-Network doctor next to our house. They did lot of lab tests including biopsy etc . We started getting bills from HCC . And for several months we were struggling to make HCC understand the issue . I would have made 40 HCC customer service calls with no proper response.

Then we got in touch with INSUBUY. From very first call, they understood our issue and followed up with HCC . In a week' time, HCC paid all the biils . This is amazing work by their team.

I would recommend Atlas America through INSUBUY . We already started recommending to all our friends.

Again I am taking the same insurance for my In-laws this year.

Thank You Once Again

Insubuy Team Review
Insubuy Team -

I would like to thank you and write this review.

My mother is a regular visitor to the USA and I make sure that she is covered under one of the insurance plans to include acute onset of pre-existing conditions. Last year I opted for Atlas America.

She started with stomach pains few weeks after landing in US and the pains got severe. I worked with HCCMIS (Terrible Customer Care) to find the diagnostic centres etc for multiple scans that were prescribed. Finally after few months, she was diagnosed with Gall Bladder issues and GB removal was suggested. I booked a flight back to India and got her operated here (Cost of whole operation with star treatment, including flights, was less than one MRI cost in US).

From October 2013 to March 2014, I struggled with the customer care and the response of HCCMIS. I am assuming all companies are same and they rejected all the bills (Upwards of $22k). Finally i registered on insubuy forums to reach out to support team and got in touch with them.

The rep was extremely helpful and professional from Day 1 and and took the ownership of the issue. He worked with HCCMIS teams to make sure that the claims were considered and cleared. I believe these plans work, but you need a reliable service provider like insubuy who can help with claims and process. So I thank insubuy for all the help. This is my first review ever on any website, but I am writing this as I believe their team deserves some recognition.

Thanks Again !

Stay away from Indian insurance companies!Star Health Student Protect
Insurance companies lure students who are going overseas with cheap plans. But these plans don't really cover anything. Also you would have to pay hundreds/thousands of dollars upfront and later claim for reimbursement, which you never receive. I had a bad experience with Star Health Insurance. They have never paid me for any of the claims.Customer care is really bad. They have contracted someone else to do this and those folks don't have your policy info in their records. ALWAYS get insurance from your school or companies here.

Review of Atlas America insurance
Dear Insubuy team, I would like to put up a good word about your team and Atlas America insurance. Last year my mother visited us in the US for 2 months, and during her stay she had an extremely painful kidney stone episode. We took her to the ER, where she was stabilized with intravenous painkillers, and a CT scan was done where a kidney stone was discovered. She was lucky that kidney stone passed the next day and she did not need any invasive procedures. However, a ~5-hour stay in the ER, CT scan, and some basic blood and urine tests ended up costing about $10,000. Hospital contacted Atlas insurance directly, but we also had to send some manual claims and letter with explanation of the emergency. The bottom line was that Atlas America insurance covered their share of expenses, which we would like to acknowledge. The overall experience with the support of your team was excellent, and we will keep using your services and recommending them to others.
Thank you,
Stela

Sudden Premium Raise By ICICI Lombard
My ICICI Lombard Health Policy number is 4034i/CHI/71620424/00/000
I have this health policy since 2008 and renewing it after every 2 year for amount Rs. 8800 around, as per the rules. Now suddenly this people are asking me to renew this policy for Rs. 20000 & saying that they have added new features and your old policy is now no more. I asked them to continue with existing feature but they are saying that, old policy does not exists now & I have to pay 20K to renew this policy since my age is also got increased. Right now I don't want to pay premium more that double of what I was paying earlier. How can they change this product and charge me more than double ? Is it valid to change the premium when age is increased ? Right now I want to continue with this policy with same premium, since it is old one. Please help me on this.

Fake and misleading information by ICICI Lombard
Self and wife are in USA to spend time with our children. We had taken an Insurance Policy from an Indian Insurance Company, ICICI Lombard. As per the policy and the Global Assistance Card issued by them, we were supposed to get coverage in USA from United Health Care (UHC), USA. Apart from the ICICI Policy No., they also assigned a UHC ID for both of us. As I had a small issue with my finger and wanted to visit a doctor, I called up United Health Care to validate my policy. Unfortunately to my surprise I understood that ICICI Lombard had not registered us with them, our details are not in their system and the UHC ID numbers assigned are fake. They identified the Insurance Company by the Group ID on the card and as per UHC and ICICI Lombard agent in USA we are supposed to pay from our pocket and claim for reimbursement . We are not sure whether reimbursement can be made while in USA or after we return to India? We are also not sure what hassles will be there for getting that money?! What we understand is that only when we make a claim, ICICI will register our details with UHC. This means we have to carry up to insured amount in foreign currency if we were to get admitted in a hospital!!! Friends, they have not only fooled us but all those who have already taken a policy from them and those who intend to.... Through this message, I’ll be happy if I can save money and time of many Indians who would have otherwise fallen a victim... (We wasted around USD 400 equivalent amount in Indian currency for covering both of us) I don’t know how other Insurance Companies in India operate as far as Travel Insurance is concerned? My humble advice to those who travel is never to take a medical policy from India but from the country where you travel. You’ll never have to pay a penny from your pocket and is much cheaper!

Very good service with Insubuy
It was with great trepidation and a lot of research I embarked on finding good insurance for my relative. I needed a bridge insurance since she was a recent immigrant (>65 yrs). I found the folks at Insubuy and particularly, Ms. Jagruti to be extremely helpful, knowledgeable and patient. It was a pleasure working with her and learning from her expertise. Her patience, knowledge and genuine care came through. We bought the Peterson International Bridge insurance.
