The US State Department has announced that the 2025 Diversity Visa Program, also known as the Green Card Lottery, will begin accepting entries on October 4, 2023 at 12:00pm EST. Entries will be accepted through November 7, 2023 at 12:00pm EST.

What is the Diversity Visa Program?
The Diversity Visa Program (AKA Green Card Lottery) is a program that provides 55,000 Diversity Visas (Green Cards) each fiscal year to qualifying individuals from countries with low US immigration rates.
To qualify, you must meet a stringent set of eligibility requirements, including being from a country that has not sent more than 50,000 immigrants to the US within the past five years. You also must meet certain educational or work experience requirements.

You can only apply for a Diversity Visa if you meet all eligibility requirements and submit an application through the official website during the open application period.
