I-485 approved married to US Citizen
Hi everyone after 1 year and 2 months my Adjustment of Status for permanent resident is finally approved. Here's my timeline:

Oct 9 2019- submitted my cases
Nov 5 2019- Biometrics
Jan 26, 2020- received my SSN & EAD
Feb 26,2020- Interview
After interview I got 2 RFIE sometime around April2020 & June 2020
Oct 3, 2020- applied for COMBO card EAD and Travel permit
Dec 11,2020- sent my reply
Dec 29,2020- EAD approved
Dec 29, 2020 - New Card is being produced i-485 (Green card)
Dec 31, 2020- Case was approved i-485
Jan 5, 2021- Card was mailed to me (Green card i-485)

Probably I will receive my green card in 3-5 business days. I am so excited and happy that I am finally done with this. I even applied combo card and spent another 600$ for it because I was anticipating that my green card will not be approved anytime soon because they have been asking for RFIE's about my husband's ex spouse relationship. Isn't it weird and awkward that all their RFIE's are about the previous relationship? lol. They have no questions on our relationship because we have tons of evidences that our relationship is genuine moreover they are questioning what happened to the first relationship of my husband. So Crazy.. There were times that I got pissed and almost leads us to divorce because I got irritated that his previous relationship got questioned from our interview to countless RFIE's about his ex wife. I wanna answer the RFIE to "call her ex wife and don't ask us about her whereabouts." But I can't do that of course. haha So what we did we hired a lawyer to finish the case and give a good response that can satisfy the officer. Anyway If you are having a hard time on what to reply to RFIE I suggest to hire a lawyer that can truly help your case. They know all the immigration laws and they know better. Anything you reply and put into paper will be taken against you so be careful. Good luck everyone!! God bless you all and stay safe! :)

Financial Question
Hey,

Is it required to have your spouse's name on all bank accounts made before marriage? Because we have one joint account and the spouse is mentioned as a beneficiary for all accounts. I am wondering if it's necessary to change all the account info with the spouse's name.

No update from SF field office after two months
I interviewed on Nov 6 in the SF field office. The interview went well and the officer told me that he will get the case out the door within a couple of weeks. Since that day, the status on my case has been stuck on "Interview has been scheduled". Anyone else interviewed in SF field office (Sansome Street in downtown SF) has received updates? Any recommendations?

I-485 + RFE for I-693... how long?
All,

I have responded to an RFE for my medicals on I-485, employment based on Nov 30th (I-140 approved, EAD on hand, AP on hand).

How long does it normally take for the USCIS to respond to it? Can you share your own experiences?

Thanks

Green Card Interview Evidence questions
Hello Everyone,

My spouse (Mexican citizen) and I (US Citizen) have an interview 1/21/21 for her green card and was wondering how much evidence we need to provide to validate our marriage.

She is currently on the renters insurance policy, electric bill, and three health insurance plans (One from my previous job at the beginning of 2020, one short term insurance plan when I got a new job while waiting for open enrollment (August - December, 2020), and the newest health insurance that started the beginning of 1/1/21). I also added her as the beneficiary to the 401k I have but that wasn't until last week and I have not actively contributed to this in a couple years.

She is not listed on the renters lease agreement. I didn't realize that this was important for the immigration process and at the time of re-signing the agreement, as the primary provider I thought the responsibility fell on myself.

She is not listed on the car insurance or car title. Due to COVID, this hasn't been a priority as we have not been driving many places nor does she work outside of the house. She also doesn't have her license but has a drivers test scheduled in March.

We also do not have joint bank accounts. We're not against it, it just hasn't ever been an issue since I pay for rent and the bills/miscellaneous expenses. She also has a separate account that she uses for some of her personal expenses that she opened to start building up her credit score which she funds with her part time job. We do pretty much everything together because of COVID and if we go shopping or to get groceries, I will pay.

We are fortunate enough to be in a position where even though she has her EAD, she doesn't have to work full time due to COVID. she has had a couple part time remote jobs since arriving but nothing outside of the house. I would be considered the primary provider.

We do have a solid history of seeing each other prior to getting married. She originally lived in the US when we met, moved back to Mexico to finish college, and we spent holidays together and travelled back and forth to see each other numerous times. She also came multiple times to the United States to visit as well as spend Thanksgiving with my family. After moving to the US in October of 2019, we spent thanksgiving together with family which I have evidence in the form of flight itinerary.

Is what we have enough or should I try to get her onto the lease agreement, car title, and joint bank account or would this be considered a negative since we are so close to her interview date?

any help/recommendations are greatly appreciated.

i-485 case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview for months
Hi All. This is in regards to my husband and I'm a US citizen. We live in NJ and our field office is Newark

Jan 2020 - Filed all paperwork including i-130, i-485, i-765, and advanced parole request
Mar 2020- i-765 and advanced parole approved
Apr 2020- Received EAD card
May 2020- Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview - this has been the case status

So his EAD card would expire in April 2021. Should we apply to renew it because we don't know when he will be getting the interview?
Will informing USCIS that I'm pregnant move the date up faster?
I had a friend who was going through a similar situation and she applied for a renewal of her husband's EAD. And a month later they got their interview date. I just don't want to waste money if there's a chance we could get the interview soon.
