December 16th 2016 Received Social Security card
January 13th 2016 Interview for I-485 and I-130, submitted I-693
June 6th 2016 Called USCIS to signal abormal processing time
July 29th 2016 Got Email following the call to tell me case was delayed due to overload unrelated to my case
July 30th 2016 Received I-797 saying my I-130 has been approved
August 4th 2016 spouse receives emails saying that I have to request an appointment in my country of origin's US embassy
August 9th 2016 infopass appointment. I-797 saying my I-130 has been approved has been submitted to an USCIS agent to resolve the problem
August 25th 2016 My I-485 was approved
September 1st 2016 I received my green card
So that's about 1 year and 3 months.
Just keep hanging there, remain calm no matter what, and always have all documents ready (social security card, marriage certificate, anything submitted, all I-797 received, ...).
And if you can bring your child(ren) during the interview. It will prevent them from asking very personnal sexual related questions, and give them the image of a family which is important to prove your presence on US soil is legit.

Applying for EAD months after filing AOS

My PD is April 2016. Filed I-485 and I-130 concurrently. My case has been ready to be scheduled for an interview since July, but still no interview yet.
My question, can I file for EAD? If yes, do I still have to wait 90days for processing?

Hey everyone, I just wanted to wish us all a good month for those going through the adjustment status. Whether it be getting biometric appointments, EADs, scheduling of interviews and getting approvals smoothly and quickly!!

After a month no sign of Biometrics mail, called USCIS and they fwd call to tier2 support which offers call back, and they would fax me my bio appointment. When I called it said 71 minutes and that I would not lose my number in line. After two hours, I called back. I told the lady that I have been waiting for 2 hours for that call back and had not received any. She then took all my information and assigned it to an officer, and told me that I would still get a call back. I waited one more hour for a call… After 3 hours, I called again to put another call back number… the other call back number was being refused so I put my number again. This time it said that my number is already waiting in line but for 214 minutes. Here is where I gave up and figured I would not receive that call ever. Shortly after that I FINALLY received a call. The officer however, was very rude or aggregated. He had the typical immigration officer tone. I answered his questions and then gave him the reason for the call. He then said, well, I see you called and someone is assigned to the case and that I would have to wait 2 - 3 weeks.
Mind you NYC is currently processing October 10th 2015... It's August 31st, I am unable to track my application online, also it has been over a month and still no biometrics.

I am happy to hear all this good news and approved cases lately..I am from new jersey and I am still waiting for my interview date. my pd is 13th april..I am checking my online case status 10 times a day and I feel so anchious and unpatient.does anyone know on which month they are working now? does anyone from new jersey had interview lately? my field office is newark..thank you so much for your help!

No SSN to date
Its been 3 weeks since I applied for my SSN and still no sign/correspondence from Social Security.
I am getting rather frustrated, I missed out on a job opportunity as a result of this. Does it usually take this long to get a SSN?? Do they normally notify you when they have assign a number and or mail card??? Still waiting on an interview date..pd april 29, 2016.

No EAD after 90 days
Hello guys. My PD date May 27th it is now day 96 i made a phone inquiry and online still no EAD. Anyone experience long wait for the work permit? I'm filing from Tampa Fl
