Hi All!! Recently submitted RFE response (for I-485 case, after the interview - the RFE was for birth certificate) but the day the response reached/was delivered, our priority date became eligible to raise a service request. Should I wait for atleast 10-20 days before raising a request or should I raise it now? I just don't want to end up waiting for months. We have already been in the process for about 2 years and 3 months now :( I know you all understand how frustrating the wait time is.

I-485. Family-based, married to a US citizen.

PD: August 28, 2020
RFE request: October 13, 2020
Biometrics Appointment: December 21, 2020
EAD and AP produced: March 11, 2021
Interview Scheduled (Brooklyn Office): September 16, 2021.
Interview date: October 18, 2021

PS: the wait is sooooo annoying.

So my husband and I went for our second interview yesterday… It went well I guess Lol.. But my status is still on “Scheduled for Interview” it still hasn’t changed. Has anyone experienced this before.

We were separated and about hundred questions were thrown at me. I spent about 45mins with the officer whiles my husband spent about 20mins.

Fingers crossed waiting for the outcome. This is indeed stressful but atleast we grateful to God.

It's been a frustrating year for me. Last year October i filed for VAWA along with a renewal of my EAD. It's going to be a year of waiting next month and i haven't heard from them regarding my EAD. They requested for RFE 3 months ago which i had sent. Will i ever get an EAD? I lost my job last month and really need this EAD to maintain attorney fees and other related amenities.

Had my interview today at the Reno FO No desicion was made … interview went well .. most of question were asked to me .. only asked my Husband for his name . Asked how we where we met and when asked my name my address and Mamés of my children then the yes and no questions .. asked if I had anything g to give him and I gave him my medical exam and bank statements and pictures … he looked thru pics and have them back and he kept all the other documents . He said he had to wait for background check before he made a desicion on my case …. The one thing I find weird is that he didn’t take my picture or my fingerprints .. is that normal? Over all it went well and smooth .

My Interview scheduled at Fresno CA for 2nd sept was cancelled on 17th August 2021 and yesterday I saw my status got updated to "Request for Initial evidence sent " .I am confused how come instead of rescheduling the interview they sent me an RFE . As of now I don't know what the RFE is about but I didn't submitted my i693 initially so I was planning to take it to the interview . Has anyone been in a similar case ?

I applied to renew my work permit Dec 2020 and didn't even get a receipt notice until March 2021.
In April 2021 I applied for Vawa

My EAD expired May 2021 and have been working with my 6months automatic extension which will expire first week of November 2021.

I called USCIS in August and was told my case has moved to the VAWA office and I will need to write to them to release the work permit as decisions on any of my cases can only be made by the VAWA department.

I have written 2 letters and yet no reply
I even tried to expedite and also contacted my Congress woman.

I am getting nervous as I may lose my job if I do not receive it before November 2021.
Has anyone experienced this and what did you do to speed the process?

The Vawa office is at Vermont and I am thinking of driving down there since it's just 3hours from me to see if I can talk directly to someone . Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you

Anyone who has submitted an RFE for birth certificate - can you please advice if these documents should be enough - I have gathered these documents to respond to the RFE - Cover letter, RFE letter, copy of original birth certificate, copy of rectified birth certificate (with all details on it), original affidavit from both parents, copy of matriculation and school boards certificates and copy of my passport. (Also adding my I485 receipt notice and marriage certificate).

Any additional supporting documents that need to be added? Also - my RFE letter says to attach a copy of the letter to the response pack. Should I keep a copy for myself and attach the original letter to the response packet?
