I had filed for my mother's green card. She got her I130 approved, biometrics done. Now trying to file her I485. Should I resend all the documents that I had sent while filing I130? and the filing fee is adding 700$ again over for her biometrics. Can someone guide me what all documents and the fees that is needed for this.

Thanks,

GreenCard at hand after 4years of filling I-30
I give God the glory for putting smile on my face after 4years of starting this journey.
Married Sept 2016 to a LPR
Filled I-30 Jan 2017
Had a Child Sept 2017
I-30 Approved Aug 2018
Filed I-485 Sept 2018
Move to another state for work and change address Jan 2019
April 2019 Scheduled for Interview(scheduled for May)
Spouse still leaving in another state.
May Spouse Became a citizen
May- Spouse never showed up for interview due to family influence
Took a bold step and went for interview myself since i married in due course, had a child and history with her.
My name was called, interviewer asked for her, i said she's sick, she said "would you want me to reschedule you?" i said no i should be able to do this, since my I-30 has been approved and this is my interview.
She asked me to come in, sworn me in, and started the interview, she asked when my family moved with me, i said feb 2019,( however wife's family already asked her not to have anything to do with me again as she was brainwashed and let to be used, they told her i married her for papers)
she continued with the interview, asked me the Yes/No question, everything went well, she said i know and can see you guys had a good marriage and with your daughter you should be fine.
Not until she asked, " is she still a greencard Holder" i said no, she just went for her N400 Interview, she then said aloud over here right? i said no back in LA. she said no, she's suppose to have it here, i thought you said she moved with you in February. She then said i hope you know you are under an oath, that something is wrong, is either am lying or she lied in her interview koz they would have asked her for her current address, and if she truly moved, the interview should have been conducted here.
That was where the whole issue started, she stopped, stepped out , she came with her supervisor who seems to be the head in that field office. He asked me, are you a military personnel, i said no, he said you know you are not suppose to be interviewed without your spouse, he asked her, is his case current, she said yes, he then said its ok request for his I-30 from LA and we will base our decision off that
The lady said, she knows our marriage is genue, but since my I-30 isn't in the field office, she wouldn't be able to make decision today, that when decision is to be made, both files need to be together. she then said she will request an RFE from me, incase when my I-30 comes and it is scheduled for another officer to make decision, that she knows but if another person who has not seen me base on the interview we had, he or she will make decision base on what she wrote and she gave me example of what i can bring, gym subscription, letter from friends, she asked if we go to church together, i said yes, she said i can get a letter form my pastor, that anything that shows she moved with me from February till now.
i sent everything before july deadline and the waiting game started, i did numerous service request, so many calls to USCIS, contact my Reps, use ombudsman, all will come back as security check.
Spouse finally came in March 2020, changed her ID, sent that with other documents to them, i got layed off, moved back to my old state April 2020, Rented an apartment, did change of address in June 2020 we had another child in Nov 2020. during this time i sent the copy of ultra sound, lease agreements, bills, joint account photo of first child birthday, with other documents to Field office and Director as instructed by someone in this forum. For the first time, they acknowledge what i sent and updated my status "evidence received and being review"
Feb 2021, interview was schedule, on getting the letter, its my old state, reach out to them , it was cancelled and reschedule to my new field office
March 23, went for interview, spouse went with me this time, officer sworn us in and said i see you have gone for interview before, we are only here to review and update your file. yes and No question again, my employer, last time i came in to the state and status, all my degrees, my OPT, our new child, basically update from the last interview till now, spouse now a citizen and then he said since spouse isn't working, she can't sponsor anymore. i have a good job, so i told him i should be able, he said as at the time you filed this in 2017, you are not eligible to work, i said ok, can i step out real quick to get this done as i want this to be done today please, he said no, i said ok can i sign on the form or fill another one here, he said i will see what i can do. he brought in a new form, for both of us, she sponsor while me co sponsor.
He gave me a letter, approved me on spot, got my two recent EAD asked for the first while doing OPT i said i cant find it.
March 30 Card at hand.
this is the best i could narrate for security reasons, but i bet you, i went through hell, depression, cried, almost gave up to go file asylum in Canada, almost filled for WAVA, fear of unknown to divorce and start all over. but i stayed through pray and focus. NB: never used a lawyer, i prepared all my files and letter myself.
lesson Learnt: if you prepare your documents well and give this guys nothing to watch or worry about your case should be smooth. from what i have read on this page since 2016 i have been here, we all have one mistake or the other we have done in our filling and we have refused to realized that courses our delay. if i had not moved and stay back i would have had this delay.
Facts/Joke: i invited a friend down for graduation in 2016, picked him up and stayed with me for a while, guess what he became a citizen last moth, lol, everything went well for him. About 4-5 of my guys i have guided for their case and they all got theirs
i just wan to thank God and everyone on this forum who i have contacted back end and all experienced i have used koz i wake up with this forum and sleep with it.
feel free to contact
God bless us all.

I485- case approved
Hi all,

My case was approved yesterday in San Fernando Field office. I’m a January 2020 filer. I just wanted to let you guys know that no matter what is said in this forum, every case is different. We provided a lot of information and bonified documents. Our lawyer was present with us, I prepared all the documents for our lawyer to present, and I’m so glad he was with us every step of the way. We had pictures of our wedding, our dog in her flower crown (who she fell in love with). My husband (USC) was asked how he proposed and where, she didn’t ask me as many questions as I thought. We had all the documents to prove our relationship was real. My advise would be just be yourself, be as calm as possible and make sure you have all the documents you need to prove your relationship, yes it’s a long process but the wait is so worth it!
I wish you all the luck in the world!

i-485 approved after 3 years!
Hi everyone I just wanted to share my experience, because I know how frustrating this process is and also because I couldn’t find any similar cases or experience as mine.
If I was lucky to find something the person that was sharing the experience would never come back to update the status.
Anyway, hopefully, someone will find this helpful!

My timeline (I am married to a US citizen. I am from Europe.)
PD - January 2018 (full package)
Bio- February 2018
GC Interview - April 2018 (we were surprised by how fast it was going)
EAD - May 2018 (that time processing time for EAD was about 3 months, once my case was outside of normal processing time I made a request and found out they messed up my application and wrote it under someone else. They updated my name and sent me a card within a week).

Still, no decision made from the Interview ( scheduled info pass, back in days it was still possible but didn’t get much information all they said was that the officer didn’t make a decision. Just be patient they said so I was!)
1 year passed I was getting anxious seeing all people that applied later than us getting approved. Every time I called USCIS, or sent an email to a congressman, the ombudsman, or made an online request I would get the same answer "Case within normal processing time". Okay, so nothing I can do, I was just reminding myself every month to them.
Second-year passed my case was already outside of normal processing time. I had no idea what to do so I would be calling every month, making requests on the case outside of normal processing time. Didn't get any answer until Jun 2020 when I got RFE from USCIS. I was so happy that they finally opened my case! My medical was expired they asked me to submit a new one with more evidence about our marriage since it’s been a long time! Yes, don't need to tell me that.
We sent everything in August 2020 (actually hired a lawyer to help prepare everything).

i-130 approved May 2020

Applied for new EAD every year (6 months in advance). The renewal process was quick, would get a new one within a month or two.

Back to the RFE- after a month of not getting any answers again I made an online request to find out why they can't simply make a decision ( I got a response that I am in line for another interview). I couldn’t believe it, why do I have to go to another interview after all those years! We received a letter to appear for a second interview in February 2021 and guess what it was canceled because of the snowstorm. We actually hired a lawyer this time because we were really tired of this long waiting time! He helped us to prepare for an interview because they don't tell you why they are calling you back again so you have to be prepared for everything. We assumed it’s going to be a stroke interview.
Since we already sent them everything we just prepared all the evidence again from the day we met, print all the pictures, leases, bank statements, social media, messages, letters from family and friends, flight tickets, trips together, memberships, credit cards, insurance, movie tickets, everything that we had! Finally, our canceled interview was rescheduled for March 2021.
We went there with our lawyer. We had 3 huge files full of evidence and big photo album with us. Officer just went through the i-485 application, asking all the yes/no questions and basically everything that was there. She just updated my info and that was it! Waited 3 years to get back there to update my info on the application form, but on the other side, we were happy as well.
When we got home our online status was updated to case approved/new card being produced!
Thank God, finally! I am so happy that it's over but still can’t believe it haha.

Wish you all the best of luck! Remember you are not alone and everything will be fine.
