Adjustment of Status - I-485

Hi Guys;

Can a conditional GC (marriage based) holder apply to i140 and then Adjust his status for unconditional GC (employment based)?

Today, October 23, 2019, I finally received my green card.

YAY!!! IT IS ACTUALLY GREEN. YUPPIIIIIIEEEEE!!!!!

My case was initially marriage based after which I converted it to a VAWA case due to my wife's cruelty. According to VAWA GCs, I will be eligible for citizenship after 3 years, so for now, ADIOS USCIS until 2022.

To all those of you waiting on your interviews and GCs, I hope you get it fast. I know most people sign out from this site after getting their approval, but I will still be here from time to time responding to other people's questions, most specially, people with VAWA cases. Any questions you have just ask, if I am knowledgeable enough, I will answer. Until then, GOOD LUCK EVERYONE IN ALL YOUR ENDEAVORS.

How long after getting approved and ‘New card beinf produced’ do you receive the actual green card by mail?

Had our interview today, approved on spot and ‘new card being produced’ end of the day, now wondering when the card will arrive

10/23/2019 EAD Card Produced
It took 2 months and 2 weeks!
Keep on praying guys and listen to anyone that tells you not to expedite, it helps. Be proactive.
This is just half of the journey...next half left to come!

This is the latest on my case I filled feburary 25 2019 and have not receive a interview date no ead card ,no updates until today . I kno I might sound silly to say this but ever since I filled I check my online status everyday and I didnt check it for the last 2 days and then got a update and all of my cases and then to make it even more curious I am checking my cousins status also and he lives in new Jersey I live in Florida completely different cases and his case updates same time as mine because I was the one checking his ..so what I am getting at is of your check your status everyday give it a break and see what happens

hi I have one question does anyone no how long NBC takes to process i130 it was transfere from uscis AUG 30 this case is for my 6 year old child notting yet anyone have an idea

Here is my timeline. It's pretty short; about 10 months. The interview lasted about 15 mins with questions about my job and the maintenance of my status. I arrived 15 minutes early and was called in 10 minutes before the scheduled time. I received a letter stating that additional review is required after the interview. I am transitioning from H1B.

All at NBC, pd: May 2018
I140 (eb3 - Employment based): filed December 5 (no rfe, regular processing) - ROW
i485/i765/i131: filed December 21 (no expedite)
All cases were transferred to NBC in early January.
i485: Fingerprint Review Was Completed on January 31 2019
i140: sent to Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR) for review on July 5 2019
i765/i131: New Card Is Being Produced on July 9 2019 and received a week later
i140: Approved on July 12 2019

i485:
1. courtesy letter to take medical to interview on July 31 2019
2. status changed to ready for interview on August 13 2019
3. request for initial interview on September 3rd 2019
4. interview on October 16th 2019 at Newark, NJ
5. card sent for production on October 16 2019
6. card mailed on October 18th 2019
7. card received on October 22nd 2019
