I751 abuse waiver.
Hello everyone,
My lawyer filled my I751, which he was supposed to file a VAWA for me so I will be able to file my citizenship after 3 years..and that what he said from day1. I just came to know that he didn't file the VAWA, but instead, he filed the I751 abuse waiver ...
I called his office 2 days ago and they informed me that I will be eligible to apply for my N400 after 5 years of residence! This is a crazy thing because I wanted the VAWA since I have a lot of abuse evidence.
Please help me understand what rule applies to the I751 abuse waiver is it 3 or 5. My lawyer didn't even bother to answer my inquiry, he got paid 4200$ to file for me. Now, the communication with them is near impossible ( so slow) . I came to beliethat most lawyers are crooks once I get your $$$ they act like you owe them something.
Please advise I751 abuse waiver gets the 3 years rule or 5 years rule.
What should I do about my lawyer, I do not find him responsive, they want money for every move they make? Are there any people with similar waiver please share whag your lawyers or what are you going to do. I really really appreciate your responses.

ROC
I have been blessed with decreased anxiety by following this forum. Your experiences have given the courage to endure the humbling experience.

Submitted my application for ROM on 12/2019
Nothing until 7/15//20 with notification that fingerprint was attached to my case. I did not do a new fingerprint or given any fingerprint appointment. Hopefully this will move forward from here, thank you God.

Case was approved May 29, Card in production May 30, then June 2, case was reopened. Anyone who experienced this or know someone who had this experience should please shed more light on how they proceeded and what the outcome was. Thank yall.

CALLING USCIS
Is It a good idea to call USCIS and ask about the application, it has been a year now and nothing is coming. Please advise me on how i can go with this, i am tired of waiting and I am fearing that staff will be furloughed and that will create longer wait time ?
