OctFiler, No EAD/AP yet, different filing times with spouse
Hi all,

I am another petitioner of Oct 2018 for (I-485, I-765, and I-131). I applied through an approved I-140 under EB2-NIW category (C9). My timeline details include:
RD: 10/01/2018
Biometric: 10/30/2018

and nothing after that. I am still waiting for EAD/AP, which has been always as "case was received". My wife had to file her application as dependent of me later. Her timeline is like below:

RD: 01/23/2019
Biometric: 03/01/2019

She is obviously also waiting for hers. Anyway, my question is this:

Has USCIS not issued my EAD/AP yet just like many others that have not got theirs (the newly prolonged timeline of 4.5 to 6.5 months) or the USCIS has held my case to issue the EAD/AP of myself with my wife when it is 6 months after her application (Jul-Aug 2019) to issue them together?
Am I getting my EAD/AP and GC earlier than my wife or the clock of my application has been restarted after my wife also filed hers as my dependent?

Please help me ! I am really depressed and disappointed!

EAD Expedite
This forum has helped me a lot these last couple months so I wanted to share my timeline and experience with my request to expedite (medical/emergency) my EAD card.
Filed: I-485 +I-130
PD: 12/03/2018
Filed: I-765 + I-131
RD: 12/27/2018
Biometrics: I-485 + I-764/I131
Appointment Date: 01/24/2019

My OPT expired 02/14/2019, and my job was only willing to give me until the end of the month until they started their hiring process for someone else. I sent in an expedite request along with evidence and receipt notices via mail to the NBC 01/23/2019 but I never got any response. I also contacted my local congressman that same day, and I got a call from his representative a month later, on 02/25/2019, apologizing for the delay but they will help me, if I still need the expedite. The next day, I printed, signed and filled out the privacy release form they sent, faxed it in and I never heard anything back on my expedite. On 03/04/2019, the representative emailed me saying “You could submit an expedite request to the Director of the USCIS office’s jurisdiction that you’re in. You can either call into the USCIS Contact center (info in link below)or you ca schedule an appointment or write a letter to your field office/service center.”
I tried scheduling an InfoPass, and the two offices in my area always said they were not scheduling any appointments at this time. So I finally called USCIS 03/06/2019 to try to schedule one, got the same response and the Tier 1 officer put in an expedite request for me and I told him why I needed it so he was able to add it into my notes/file. He said I will hear back in 5 days. 03/09/2019, I got an email stating “We received your request to expedite the decision on your application. Your case is currently under review. You will receive a decision or notice of further action shortly.” On egov.uscis.gov, my case history had the following 3 messages:
On March 9, 2019, your request to have your case expedited, referral number T1B YYYY YYYY XXMSC, was assigned to an officer for response.
On March 9, 2019, we sent a response to your request to have your case expedited, referral number T1B YYYY YYYY XXMSC.
On March 9, 2019, your request to have your case expedited, referral number T1B YYYY YYYY XXMSC, was completed.
So I researched to see what others said that meant because I was confused. I waited... Got impatient, so I called USCIS yet again 03/12/2019 asking what was going on. The Tier 1 officer put me through for a call back from a Tier 2 officer. Within an hour, she called and said I will have to wait for a notice in the mail stating my next steps, presumably proof of me needing an expedite. So I waited some more... checking informed delivery, my uscis accounts - egov.uscis.gov and my.uscis (which never updated since my fingerprints 01/26/2019 by the way),
my mailbox, nothing came.
Then... 03/16/2019, I got an email saying
“There has been a recent processing action taken on your case.
Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production”
My USCIS account updated to “New Card Is Being Produced
On March 16, 2019, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC YYYY YYYY XX, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.” And in the history, “We completed our review of your fingerprints and are continuing to work on your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization.”

I don’t think my congressman helped because my case only started moving after I called and got the expedite myself and was given a confirmation number. I’d say expedite works. Maybe I was lucky, which I never am. I was never contacted about evidence, sending any proof etc, so I’m not sure if they did keep the evidence I initially sent in January. I’d say, keep calling, and bugging them. Pray, pray, pray. And be as prepared as you can be, gather all evidence that you can just in case they do request it.

Could someone please guide me on this. I have my GC-EAD being married to US citizen but yet to receive my green card as my interview is not completed yet.

But if i want to work on 1099 as an software programmer, i was asked by the recruitment agency to have my own business entity.

Now my question is with my GC-EAD status, can i have a sole proprietorship business created and use it to work as an 1099 independent contractor. please advise

SSN after EAD
Has anyone just waited for their social security to be mailed after receiving EAD instead of going to the office and applying yourself ? If so how long did it take after EAD in your hands?
