EAD - What does it mean by Employed as Domestic Servant?
Hi,
I arrived on an L2 visa and have just received my Employment Authorization Card. Under Terms and Conditions it states Employed as Domestic Servant.
Does this mean what I think it does and why? ie cleaner etc

Travelling when EAD expire date is close to return date
Hi,
My EAD is expiring on Oct 23rd. I am planning to go India on Oct3rd and come back on Oct 19th. Will it be a problem? I have applied for EAD renewal on Sep 11th.

what i do next
Hello..I want to say abt my and my mother`s experience of visa interview.at us embassy new delhi. our visa application was rejected that day because we are not fully prepared for interview and not read any instructions of interview. visa officer ask just few quetions and reject our visa. We have all paper and documents of support . when i read why they reject my visa. its too late because that time m not in embassy...i couldk n satisfy officer but m not doing that. becouse m over confidence.......................

EAD
I had applied for Green Card through Family petition (I-130,I485 ,I 765) on 5th Nov. 2007 and got Notice of Receipt dated 14th November on 17th November. My Finger printing was done on 8th Jan 2008 and I received my EAD dated 15th Jan 2008, promptly today (17th January 2008)It has taken USCIS just 60 days to process and send me the EAD card.Hats off to USCIS

Did not receive EAD cards yet
Hi,
We applied for I-485 on August 12th 2007.
We had our biometrics done on 14th November 2007.
Our service center is Nebraska.
We haven't received our EAD and Travel Documents yet, Could anyone let us know how long it will take, bcz some of my friends got EADs already from the same service center.

Frustration with EAD
My Mexican citizen husband and I started the I485 application process in July 2007. According to processing dates on USCIS's website, we should have received his permit to work more than 4 weeks ago. Everytime we contact USCIS, we are told a different story--that the permit will take 3 more months, that the permit will come within a week, that we need to speak with a local officer, that there's nothing we can do--the story is never the same. We are frustrated beyond all belief and had NO idea when we were married in June what kind of wait was ahead for us. We are now contemplating moving to Mexico so he can begin working, as we're having a difficult time making ends meet on my part-time income. I am an American citizen and have never felt so little help, interest, support, or care from my country. We have felt completely alone in this process with our hands tied. If you are in the same situation, our deepest sympathies are with you. Like you, we have checked our mailbox day after day after day, and we know the frustration and depression that comes when able-bodied, able-minded immigrants cannot use their talents in this country to work legally. In fact, we have felt penalized by the system for doing this the legal way. We will not get a fake SSN, but it has been the most frustrating experience of our lives to wait for our EAD while illegal workers are bringing income to their homes and food to their tables. The immigration system of the United States is in SERIOUS need of reform. Good luck to you.. wish this post could have been more optimistic. That's up to USCIS, apparently.

no ead nd the long wait
i had applied for a work permit last sep06...it was sanctioned but for some reason when i chckd my case status online in dec it said it was returned back to usics as being undeliverable nd then the whole process of waiting nd talking to them went on ....i recvd a letter from usics in may 07 saying tht they were sending the card along with the letter..i did recieve the letter with no card in it.. so i called usics regarding the same thing nd they asked me to wait nd i called them again..in the whole process i chckd my status online again in july 07 and it still says the sme thing as being undeliverable...i hve spoken to them again and nothing has happnd..i am still waiting ....has anyone faced the same problem????...would appreciate any suggestions....
