Employment Based Greencard

October 26th 2015 - USCIS received I-485 / I-765 / i-131
November 24th 2015 - I-765 approved
December 4th 2015 - received EAD/Travel combo card.

No movement on I-485 at all. Still "Case was received" since Oct 26th 2015.
Also, nothing on I-131. "Fees Were Waived" since Oct 26th 2015
I've been waiting 121 days as of Feb 23 2016.

I've seen other EB3 cases approved between 100 - 110 days.
No updates for me, still hoping. Waiting can be hard some days.

Priority Day March 13th 2015.

Anyone else in EB got their I-485 approved ?

Hi All,

I have applied for a Green Card based on EB2 category. I have been called for an interview. Has anyone gone through this experience? If yes, what did they ask you.

I did marry less than a year before my application so I suspect it is that they want to confirm my marriage is legit.

Would love to hear your experiences and what types of questions were asked.

Hi All,

I am a Canadian applying for a Green Card through the EB2 Category (Employment Based). I am still waiting for my Green Card and have been quite frustrated with the process so far. It is taking much longer than anticipated. My husband is also applying of the same based on being married to me. I have had to log many customer service requests and only had success with one.

As you will see below, my case was transferred right before the USCIS were about to hit their 60 day window to respond to my RFE which essentially delays my entire case again.

Please share your timeline if you have had something similar happen to you in the application process.

09/04/2015 - USCIS Received Documents (Day 1)
09/08/2015 - Finger Print Fee accepted (Day 5)
10/13/2015 - Biometrics Appointment Notice (Day 45)
10/22/2015 - Biometrics Appointment (Day 54)
11/06/2015 - RFE (Day 64)
11/24/2015 - Response to RFE Received. USCIS said to contact them if they do not respond in 60 days. (Day 65 - Clock resumes from when they received RFE)
12/10/2015 - Logged Customer Service Case on I-765 being outside normal processing time. (Day 81)
12/14/2015 - Email / Text Notification that records indicate I-765 was approved on Nov. 11, 2015. (Day 85)
12/17/2015 - Email / Text Notification EAD mailed (Day 88)
12/21/2105 - Cobo Card EAD / Advance Parole Received (Day 92)
01/12/2016 - Case Transferred to another USCIS Office (NBC) in Lee's Summit. (Day 114)

Have not heard anything since 01/12/2015 on my I-485. We are now on day 141. Why are case got transferred... I don't know. Employment based Green Cards don't usually have interviews. My husband still has not received his EAD or Advanced Parole combo card. He is going crazy not working.

I got lot of help from this website for my interview so i want to share my experience.

 Rather than telling you about how to enter and process i come straight to the point. The window where you will get all your filed document is the most important part of interview because that is the person who gonna ask you a lot of question about the whole information you provide about your history, study , previous and new employment. while she checking your file she will make notes and officer will ask you the question regarding those notes. all question will be related the information you provide in application. So make sure you go through you application and you must give a quick and short answer.
you should know about your employer, pay scale and benifits who will receive you, where you will stay, wts the traveling plans?

 most of the question will be asked to the main applicant. If you have any bad history in any other country, you don't need to wary until unless you have the police clearance. Officer will not ask you anything about that bcoz you didn't mention . But if they ask better be prepared to answer and be honest. Don't give any false or misleading information. Only answer the question you been asked.

At the end officer will ask you very basic question to make sure you the real person who applied for example when you pass out your college, date of birth your child or spouse, about you job and responsibility.

If you pass they will keep your passport or if they request any document they may give your passport back and ask you to come back with requested document.

I was just contacted regarding the approval of my self-petition for permanent residence in the NIW category.

USCIS processing time: 147 days

When I began the application, I knew my case was strong but didn't know how to start. I contacted several immigration lawyers, but Associates said that they have a total refund policy (for people like me who have a strong case) if the application is unfortunately rejected. So I decided to retain the firm.

Although I never met them in person, they were prompt in replying my questions and concerns within 24 hours. They are extremely professional; they wrote an excellent cover letter and four beautiful recommendation letters for me that were tailored to my background. Because of all their help, the only thing that I suffered from the process was the time awaiting for the USCIS to make the decision.

If you need to work like a real person does and don't have much time dealing with all the law and regulations, save some money to hire an immigration attorney to help you.

I had my Bio done in Chicago Aug 27th but by page is still showing "Fingerprint fee was received". Is this ok, and from experience, how long does it take for all the process to be over in my area?

Hi! my lawyer submitted my I-485 last month 5/29/2015 uner EB3 to Texas service center. Texas Service center has been updating its processing time for I-485 which has been no progress last 3 months Apri/May/June. It's still at Aug/15/2014. So, it's about 10months whereas other service center takes about 4monhts. Is there anything we can
do to process quicker? Is this really correct updates? My visa expries in November, and I was really hoping to have my I-485 approved by then, but if it takes more than 6-8 months, I might have to renew my visa. Is it real that it takes 10 months to process I-485 or everyone is different? Can it be quicker? Any replies or experiences will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
