About our interview:
Pittsburgh field office
It was scheduled for 11:15am, we got there around 10:25, they didn't call us until around 11:45-12:00
We were swore in and showed her our passports, social security cards, birth certificates and driver licenses. then the officer said she would go over the yes/no questions from the i485 as well as verify information. As she asked my husband questions about his i485 she would throw questions in there for me (the citizen). For example: she asked my husband the country he was born in and then asked me the city name.
She asked me what his birthday was, and asked him what my birthday was.
She asked me what his moms name was
Then she said we will get to "the fun stuff". She asked when and where we got married (my husband mistakenly said 12/26 then corrected himself and said the actual date 12/27. She didn't seem to notice or care. I got to show her a photo album of random photos of him and I. We also showed our wedding book and she asked how many people was at the wedding. Then she asked how/where we met. We just kept talking about or life like our apartment and pets and stuff. It was like a regular conversation.
We gave her evidence:
Rental agreement for our apartment
Joint filed taxes
Joint bank account
Car insurance
Life insurance (I have it and my husband is my beneficiary, we had a letter saying he can't get any until he gets permanent status)
Hotel reciepts
Health insurance
Dental insurance
4 letters from friends and family
30-40 photos (not including wedding pics, as she went through the pics she asked who some people were)

I had everything ( including copies of our i130 and i485 etc.) in a binder and she thanked me for being neat and organized

At the end she said she will recommend us for approval but she has to give the case to her supervisor since she was new. We said thanks and left around 2:30. At 5:30 our case changed to new card being produced.

I suffer from anxiety and have to go to therapy for it but this interview was so easy and relaxed. So guys don't be nervous! The officer was SUPER nice and she knew a lot about our case already. She said she only speaks to 5-6 couples a day so she is able to be familiar with the case.

Please ask me any questions!

I-131, 765, 485 and 130
I have a question, please help me out on September 21, 2016 my lawyer sent the I-130 application that got approved on April, 2017 after that on May 30, 2017 he sent the I-131, 765 and 485. On August 17, 2017 I received an approval letter for the I-131 and I-765. Also the status of my I-765 change to card sent to you on August 21, 2017. The priority date for the I-485 is September 21, 2016. I called my lawyer and told him the good news so now he told me well we need to complete the I-485 againg because I do not have the legal entry to USA. I crossed the border back on 2003. For me it dont make senses, after I travel and return to USA with the advance parole I will have the legal entry to the country and and I will be able to show the officer during thw interview? My husband is american citizen and we have two children. Should I believe the lawyer and complete another i-485 anybody went through this and obtain the green card. Please help
