Adjustment of Status - I-485

Hey guys,

PD 12-28-16. We woke up this morning to an e-mail of USCIS stating that our interview is canceled but we never received an interview date in the first place ? When I changed our address they sent me ''Your name has been successfully changed'' although I never applied for that. So I am just confused now, is this another error on their part or ,,,?

Next week will be 8 months of waiting for an interview.

We were not approved on the spot - the officer told us that we'll hear from USCIS within 120 days for the decision since they cannot make the decision "at this time". It's so stressful to even think that I'll be potentially waiting for additional six months, at the very least.

Has anyone been in this situation?

Hi guys, I have a question for i485 form. How long will it take from the day you turn in your paper work to the day you recieve your working permit? What to do after recieve it to get thessn? Please help me with this.... I am from Houston Texas.

Hi guys. I hope that everyone is doing well. Has any of you with priority date December 2016 receive your actual interview date as yet?? My priority date is December 19, 2016 and I am here waiting for an interview date, yet none. Also, do you believe that a representative from the congressman office will be able to help with this issue? For reference my field office is the Washington Field Office and my service center is Vermont.

I just wanted to share my timeline with you all since I've been ready you guys stories to keep myself sane throughout this process lol. Here it is...sorry it's a bit too detailed:
12/13/16- application received (PD)
12/17/16- notice date, receipt
2/2/17- notice date (biometric)
2/13/17- biometric taken
5/17/17- notice for RFE send out by USCIS (text notification)
5/22/17- notice for RFE received in mail
Appointment for 7/21/17
7/21/17- medical examination done!
7/27/17- RFE response send out
8/2/17- RFE received by immigration
8/16/17- card in production
8/21/17- Approval letter received
8/22/17- card mailed to me

I have not received my card yet but I am so happy!

Hello, today Aug. 22 i had interview our interview time at 12:30pm but me and my husband came 30mins early, then the IO called us 12:20pm while we walking thru to her office she thanks us with smile for coming in early which is a good sign that she cool, then we we get to her office we sworn, then asked me about my application just to verified that everythings correct, she asked if i a kids i answered not yet but i am 7 months pregnant ans she said oh wow congratulation!, then she asked my husband to tell our love story, she asked some evidence of our marriage we gave the bank statement, credit card, life insurance, car insurance and the printed picture, then she said thank you look everything i need its complete, after that she told us we recieve the decision 2 to 3 weeks if we didnt recieved anything call the uscis, then she asked if we have any question and we said no mom, she stand up and said thats it and she said congrats with shakehands to me and to my husband., i think thats a good sign, although we didnt get approved on the spot but i felt a good vibes. I hope we get the approval notice. Thank you

I had my I485 interview marriage based today at Newark NJ.

Our interview was scheduled for 7:15 and we were there half an hour early, we were actually the first person but wasn't call the first, which I'm happy about it, the officer came and called people by their name, some wasnt that nice, so we got called at 8:30 and our officer was supppper nice and friendly. He just asked fee questions and asked for our marriage bona fida documents. I had tax refunds jointly for two years, 3 different leases with both our names. Bills. Health insurances. And pictures
We got them and asked if I have a copy of those, which I had. I had everything really organized and labeled. He said are you a lawyer? You're so organized and we laughed about it. At the end I asked him if I can travel with my Advanced parole? I am traveling tonight to vosit my family for 3 weeks. And he said yes. He went out and asked his supervisor too and told us yes. Go for it.
He said we should hear back in the next 2-3 weeks of our approval.

My PD is November 21, 2016 and still waiting for interview appointment letter.

I have been a low-key observer of this forum so I thought I should share my timeline.

PD: 4th April 2017
Biometrics: 30th May
Case ready to be scheduled for interview: 26th June
EAD approved: 17th August
My processing center is NBC Lee summits. And field office is Rhide Island.

Now my questions is, do we have any Rhode Island filers on this forum? I have checked but couldn't find any.
I just need someone to share with me timeline for interviews in Rhode Island. I'm trying to determine how long I still have to wait. RI filers please respond. Thank guys!
