I'm Back Home
Hi everyone,
After spending four days in Mexico -- I am back home safely with Advance Parole.
I was less than one year old when my family immigrated to the US back in 1990.
Everything felt so surreal.
Tocar tierra Mexican por primera vez en mas de 25 años es una emocion increible.
If you are thinking of going and are unsure -- I strongly recommend you do it.
If you have a clean record, you have nothing to fear.
I went with my brother, he's a US citizen.

On the way back, I was a bit nervous -- I won't lie.
I just kept thinking to myself whatever happens, happens.
As I approached customs, I handed the lady my passport.
She scanned it.
She took my fingerprints and a photo.
She then pressed a button and told me to wait.
An escort came for me and took into secondary inspection.
The officer told me to take a seat.
I sat there looking around.
No one else was in this room.
I just watched them as they scanned my stuff and I saw them take out the stamp.
Then the officer called me and told me "have a good day sir"
I was in there for less than five minutes.
It went super fast.
They weren't mean, but they weren't friendly either.
This was through the Houston IAH airport.
After I left - I just smiled and laughed.
It was a feeling like "Wow I did it"
And you can too.

I highly encourage anyone with the opportunity to do it, DO IT!
It's worth it.
I hope this serve as a peace of mind to other thinking of going.

I know have a legal entry.

nervous to leave
Hello everyone,
I applied for advance parole in April and received my paperworkin May. My reason was because my grandma was very ill and I am the only daughter of her dead son so she really wants to see me. Thank God she has gotten much better and seems to be doing very well .I was given until August 15 to come back so I booked my flight for August 1-9. But this morning I was reading the news that Trump officially cancel the "DAPA" program so now I am scared if he is coming after the DACA as well. Since my flight is so far off and this guy seems to just be causing havoc I no longer want to travel. My attorney has advised me to leave to TJ and visit the relatives I have there instead of travelling to my home town which is Colima. My granma is not in TJ so I am afraid I will have any issue. Has anyone gone to TJ for the weekend and came back? Any experience would help me make up my mind.

What should I bring & What if...
Hello All,

I recently got my approval notice and my flight is booked for the 27th of July out of San Francisco to Morelia.

I had two questions and was hoping you guys could help mi out with your experiences.

1) What paperwork should I bring? I know I need my approval documents and my passport but should I have anything else? Birth certificate, DACA Approval, misc documents.

2) Does anyone know what should be done in the of chance they deny reentry? Everyone keeps saying it will be fine but I would love to have a back up plan just in case. Any suggestions on where to start?

Thanks in Advance!

Advanced Parole
Hello,

I need some input as i have been told i cant get adjustment status unless i travel outside of the U.S and come back, this obviously has to be done with the Advanced Parole. I don't have any sick relatives except for my grandmother but she is able to travel, as a matter fact she is coming here in October. Based on all of you guys experience what did you put as a request for traveling when you applied for Advanced Parole and if any of you are married just getting adjustment of status enough for USCI to give you Advanced Parole.

Any feed back will be appreciated

ADVANCE PAROLE TRUMP RISKS
Hell you guys! :))

My AP has been approved through DACA but I have been recently advised not to leave the country because upon return they said that risks were higher because we don't know how ice stands (because of the change of administration) with its end of the AP deal.

So my question is at LAX or any airport in the U.S did the immigration agents/officers interrogate you or interview you regarding where you were and what you did and to provide evidence to back up your statements or did they just get your advanced parole document and tell you t sit down and then get called back with the authorization stamp on your AP.

IMPORTANT: This is during a trump administration meaning after January 20, 2017
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

AP through marriage but also have pending asylum
Hi everyone,

Long story short, I applied for asylum 2015 (still pending) and also got married 2017. My mom passed away but I want to go and visit my sister and my mom's grave. I am flying tonight and I am staying 3 weeks in my country (which I am feared of persecution) but my emergency AP was approved based on my marriage.

Anyone had experience with the same case as mine??!...i wanna go but I am terrified if this can cause me any trouble from coming back to US and my husband. My lawyer told me that I shouldn't have problem, and I should bring my mom's death certificate in case they ask me, but still it is giving me anxiety. Thanks for reading and any response will be greatly appreciated.
