Our package was delivered on Saturday, October 12 but no word since then. There could have been an issue w/ our payment as I paid by credit card and realized that I put my current address, where the CC address on file was my old address, but changed it within 3 days of it being delivered to the Chicago Lock box so hoping that I caught it in time and, as others have said, this is simply related to heavy volume re public charge rule.

I’m not sure what the rule is, but I remember reading somewhere that you can call them after a certain number of days passed (I think 10) without hearing anything. Perhaps others can chime in??

My package was delivered on oct 14. We just got 3 text massages notice last night on oct 28 which is longer than 10 days. On Thursday 25 I got worried if something went wrong so I called, and was informed they simply changed the processing time from 10 days to 15 days. So maybe don’t worry just yet but simply give them a call after 15 days. GL

Great, our package was delivered 10/16, so hopefully will receive text messages tomorrow or Wednesday. I appreciate everyone who is posting updates in this thread, it helps calm the nerves a lot!

I called ** (800) 375-5283. Since I didn’t have the receipt numbers yet, they asked to verify and you name, DOB, and your SSN numbers. If your case is accepted and case has been processed they will be able to tell you. When I called my case hadn’t yet been processed so they couldn’t tell me what’s going on. They could only tell me that the processing time has been extended to 15 days and for me to call and check back with them again after the 15 days pass. However, I was kinda able to tell from how they asked and verified name and information that mine case is already with them in the system and they just couldn’t confirm it me until my case is officially in the system and my receipt numbers is generated. If you a petitioner and want to know about your beneficiary case status, the beneficiary needs to be with you and speak on the phone to before they can you anything. But I figured if they have mine info in their system they will have my mom’s application too cause we filled concurrently. Hope this help! GL

We just mailed out our AOS package last friday 10/25 to Chicago Lock box. Married to USC, B1 overstayed. Filing from Southern CA.

Once everyone has their receipt numbers, you can sign up for case status updates via email, text or both through
https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/
You have to sign up and create an account and then just enter each of your receipt numbers and it will show case history, date last updated, etc.

Thanks for the information about the extended processing times!
Our forms I-485, I-130, and I-765 were received on 10/16 and I have been very nervous and anxious after not hearing back.
