We filed Green Card through marriage (forms 485, 130, 130a, 864) on 10/31/19. Our interview was yesterday 2/19/20. Our 485 status reads, "New Card Is Being Produced." The 130 status reads, "Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed." What does it mean if 485 says "New Card" but 130 says "Case Must Be Reviewed?"

To update, both cases say approved today! That makes it just shy of four months from when we mailed the filing.

Also, we're a male same sex couple based near Chicago and it wasn't focused on at all by the interviewer. Sorry other folks experienced that.

I noticed that most folks who got Ready to be scheduled for an interview had their interview scheduled the day after or within a span of 10 days.

No update to the I485 status on mine since Jan 31st. Still on "ready to be scheduled for an Interview". Should I be worried and hunker down for a long wait?

also, Is it weird that the I-130 case status has only been at "case was received" dated for October 22nd which is the PD even though I765 was fully processed? Is this normal and is anyone else in this same situation?

My interview question was centered on why I overstayed my visa and why I choose to come to Chicago. Then we got separated, my wife and I .. then they asked the regular questions again..

Hi, I think is normal. They will work on your I-130 along with your I-485. That's how they did ours. The IO first went over our I-130 then the I-485.

I don’t get . What other paper ? I got the regular paper and she marked the first option on the paper. I got home and got two sms messages saying my case has been updates , I was almost screaming thinking my case was approved only for me to check and realize it was just an update saying my interview has been concluded and my case must be reviewed.. ????????????????????

We got a second paper, explaining how to get the conditions off from a conditional green card. If approved we will get a 2 year conditional green card. Due to have a marriage less of 2 years.

Really? He updated his name on his ssn cause he had name change but it wasn’t offered to him when he wen to the office.

He should bring his green card to a social security office and get the “Work Only” notation removed. He should then send certified letters with return receipt to the 3 credit bureaus asking them to remove any message about his social security number not able to be verified. He should include a copy of the front and back of his new card.

here in Chicago, most of the folks I know all got the same single sheet of paper.. we didn’t get the second one .. maybe it means your case will be approved sooner.. I pray mine too get approved

Well I hope so too. But was just wondering if everybody else with a marriage of less than 2 years get the same paper as general information. Or if we should take it as a positive sign. That's why I was asking you if you got a second paper as well.

i’m on F1 and currently married to a US citizen and she’s pregnant for me. Considering her state she’s likely to give birth soon. Bills are piling up and projections into the future clearly indicate the likelihood of my family facing severe hardship.
We attempted to expedite the ead process but USCIS got to us via email stating that we supply enough evidence.

Thank you batmanuel03. And congratulations!!!. We got same paper about our case needed to be reviewed. But also a second paper talking about the removal of conditions. We had to sign that form and then she gave us a copy of it. But like I said, we were wondering if this second paper is just a general document given to everyone with a marriage of less than 2 years. Or if it means that she is thinking on approving our case and wanted to let us know what we had to do. But I guess we just have to be patient and wait for her response.

Does everyone have a health insurance? Is it a must for october filers ?

it depends on the health insurance you have and the company. for me it is legally documented that my spouse cannot be covered by anything of mines until my husband has a social security number or a Tax ID number. This is for Tax reporting purposes. With that documented I can bring that to my interview
