Hello again guys! I was wondering if you could help me fill out our form i864 again. I think I know where we screwed up, and I just want to make sure that we get it right this time. My hubby is my sponsor (no joint sponsors), and he's sponsoring only me.
1) So on part 3, item 29 we should write "1", right?
2) Then, off to section 5: persons you are sponsoring on this affidavit, 1.
3) What confuses me is the section "Persons NOT sponsored in this affidavit". What should we put in "yourself"?
4) And also, if you are currently married, enter 1 for your spouse. Yes, he's married to me, but if I put 1 in there I am counting myself more than once.
Would somebody be so kind so as to help me, please?F1 AOS though marriage to a USC

3. If you are married Enter 1 for your Spouse. I left 0 because I was in part 3, and they are questioning- a person is not sponsored in this affidavit!
4. Children
In part 3, 29 must be a number (1) It’s a beneficiary. If you filling for single person without children and spouse must be 1.
Many cases have dependent children, plus spouse. But in that case must be 1. And part 29 it’s only for a Beneficiary.
You have to understand the affidavit of support filling a petitioner US Spouse, not a beneficiary, that why a petitioner must count themselve Yourself. (1)
my case was approved without any issues. When my husband filled affidavit for his father in no 3. He fill in 1, because that affidavit belongs to his father.Last edited by NYC/She; 01-25-2020, 12:13 AM.

Hello everyone,
I filled For Adjustment of Status for my mom on 10/14/2019, she got her biometric / fingerprint done on 11/19/2019. But there hasn’t been any update on her case yet. It has been 2 months, which I think longer than usual since I can see many of you in this thread have gotten your interview appointments within 1 month. I wonder if the USCIS forgot about my case or if there is anything wrong. What can I do, please advise.
thank you!Adjustment of Status for my mother
10/14/2019 package delivered to USCIS at Chicago Lock box
10/27/2019 received 3 notification text massages that the forms were received.
10/30/2019 received 3 797 forms in the mail.
11/07/2019 got biometric appointment letter in the mail (it is scheduled on 11/09/2019)

Hello everyone! This forum is a great help for me and my hubby. We just finished putting the response to the RFIE together today and I was wondering if you could provide me with some input. I was going to post pictures but it says that they are too big. Oh wow.
So, our response consists of the following:
1) The original letter that the USCIS sent us.
2) A cover letter that lists: a) what is required of us; b) what we are presenting. This letter is signed by sponsor (hubby) and applicant (me).
3) A copy of form I-864 (edition date 03/06/2018) with the correct household size).
4) Hubby's 2 w-2s and IRS tax return for the most recent tax year (2018). This time we're sure that we are sending tax RETURNS instead of ACCOUNT transcripts lol
5) Copy of birth certificate in original language.
6) Translation of birth certificate.
7) Certification by translator.
8) Letter of sponsor saying the following:
To whom it may concern,
This is a response to the Request for Initial Evidence (RFIE) letter dated January 15th, 2020. The RFIE states that based on the documents submitted with Form I-864, Affidavit of Support, for the petitioner/ sponsor, xxx xxx, the income did not meet 125% of the poverty guidelines for the petitioner/ sponsor's household size.
I include in this packet the following documentation:- an employment verification letter (stating that my estimated annual gross income salary is 54,080.00 excluding applicable overtime).
- Paystubs for the last four months.
- A correct version of form I-864.
- Two w-2s.
- A complete IRS tax return for the most recent tax year
Please feel free to contact me should you require any further information.
(Signature)
9) Sponsor's employment verification letter.
10) Sponsor's paystubs for the last four months.
I am sorry about the long post, but I could really use some input!F1 AOS though marriage to a USC

Very thorough! You haven’t missed anything that I can see. One suggestion I have would be to add the phrase “In compliance with the RFIE” right before the line “I include in this packet the following documentation”
