My attorney told me that my application fee check was cashed in August 24. Not sure when I will receive the physical I797 receipt. or the text message from USCIS...

You should get notifications in a couple of days after the check gets cashed, as per the info on some of the other threads. So very very soon!
Mine was a cashier's check so I have no visibility into when exactly they cashed it.

Hi,

I married a USC and I filed for AOS(i-130+I-485) concurrent filing on Aug 1st and sent through USPS primary shipping, Packet reached on 3rd to USPS Chicago but not to USCIS. but my packet is still in USPS Chicago, and it is showing still in transit. My Medical will expire in a week from now.

Please help me on what to do next, thank you.

I finally got e-Notifications today for I485,I130,I765,I131.
And I485 has an updated message saying "fingerprint fee has been accepted".

Just got 3 mobile notifications today - one each for each of the forms! Yay! Didn't receive the notifications on email though, which is weird.

8/12/2020 - Application received by USCIS.
8/26/2020 - Mobile Notifications received.

Notifications on the mail took a week or so after the text messages for me.

US Citizen. Sent i130 130a i131 i485 i864 i944 i693 i765 all at once for my wife. She's current on B1 until september. Forgot to send the form for electronic communication. Sent with cashiers checks 08/12/2020 received at chicago lockbox mailroom 08/13/2020. Waiting on some mail confirmation I guess? Hope she doesn't end of overstaying current visitor visa

hello. I submitted the form for a work permit after submitting i589. I made a mistake and submitted two days earlier. My hours of 150 days ended on 08/01/2020. 08.25.2020 I have to wait 365 days now to submit a new I765 application. Why the laws are so unfair. Because everyone has the right to make a mistake. Why can't the migration service renew my case I 765. I and my family have nothing to eat and nowhere to live. I ran away from my country to live under a bridge in this great country? please give an answer

After searching, I found this on USCIS website

You cannot apply for permission to work (employment authorization) in the United States at the same time you apply for asylum. You may apply for employment authorization 365 calendar days after you file your complete asylum application. You may be eligible to receive employment authorization based on a pending asylum application if:

• You entered the United States lawfully on or after Aug. 25, 2020 (under limited exceptions, you may still be eligible if you entered the United States unlawfully on or after Aug. 25, 2020);

And this means that now pending asylum applicants need to wait 365 days to apply for i-765 not 150 days as it was in the past , so you will need to count one year from the day you sent your asylum application

Hi, my EB-2 NIW (employment based I-140 alien worker) is still pending and I am applying for I-485. In I-485 form (page 14, Item no. 61, part 8 under Declaration of self-sufficiency (Form I-944)), it says "Are you exempt from the public charge ground of inadmissibility?" Should I select YES or NO? If I select NO, I need to send I-944 form. I would appreciate your suggestion. Thanks.
