I'm also a Diversity Visa Lottery AOS, which is exactly why I mentioned their case in my original comment.

          • Update from Emma:
Unfortunately, I do not see anything schedule for you to attend biometrics, please continue to wait for the notice in the mail. We are experiencing delays due to COVID-19.

            Update from my Employer:
This is an automated reminder email to advise you that records indicate your current work authorization documentation, which allows you to work in the United States, will expire on 4/29/2021.
If you wish to remain employed in the United States beyond the above expiration date, you must take the steps required to extend your work authorization.

I submitted expedite request through Emma. However I read - 99% of such requests get rejected.

What would happen if you continue working until you get your new EAD? What visa are you currently on? Is there any other way to extend work authorization other than AOS EAD? This whole system is crazy

The system really is crazy. Would you fall out of status if they don't extend your work authorization? Is that why you are thinking about going back home?

I am considering going back home because my marriage is falling apart and the relationship will get worse once I become jobless.

Oh, I apologize--I didn't mean to make it sound like I was asking about your personal stuff. I asked because I heard from other people who are having similar issues with their jobs because it's taking so long to process their cases, especially for people on OPT. I think it's ridiculous. I don't know if these are considered normal processing times, but I find it upsetting that people have to lose their jobs because of it.

                        01/25/2021 - Paper receipts for same three (I-130, I-485, I-131) received.

Actually on 1/17 - received 5 text massages - but two messages had repeat of I-130 and I-131 receipt numbers.

Question - We did not receive either a text message or paper receipt for I-765 (Application for Work Authorization). I was expecting this one as well. Have others received this? If yes at the same time or out of sequence? Just trying to figure out if I need to begin worrying about a misplaced application.

03/20/2021 - Biometrics appointment scheduled for April 16th! Lawrence, MA field office.

Wow! Was pleasantly surprised to see this quick turnaround on the Biometrics. Hoping rest of the case proceeds equally fast!

Question: The biometrics notice has petition info about I-485 and I-765 only. No reference to the I-131 receipt. Anyone else have experience with this - please share.

You can’t expedite the biometrics. Unfortunately.

                            • I submitted my application in December (right before Christmas; receipt starts with MSC) and am still waiting for the biometrics appointment (3 full months later).

I called the USCIS today and based on my location, the USCIS person said it would take 14 to 27 months for it to be processed (since the date it was received) and the biometrics appointment can happen anytime between that timeline. 14-27 MONTHS!!! My oh my... The timeline she gave me was based on this page: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

I'm curious for those who have received the biometrics appointment, whether the processing time on that page matches with your timeline.

Biometrics are typically done sooner than that. People in this group who already got their bio appointment waited only fo 3 months.
