You must have applied for a SSN at the time of submitting your 765. I believe you must have received your EAD/AP. Now you are receiving the SSN that you had requested as part of the application.

No... Still waiting for updates on my 140 & 485. It's now more than 12 months since my 140 was filed, yet no reply.

shiva_82 and rln8316 thanks for the information . My attorney advised me to wait to receive rfe too.

It is recommended to submit medical along with AOS. If you have submitted your medicals and the application is pending for long for more than 2-3 months with USCIS, it is still considered valid for the purposes of adjudicating. But if you haven't submitted medicals and did later which is older than 60 days (I guess) during your RFE, then it is considered invalid. That is why it is recommended to wait for RFE.
There is mixed responses on interfiling medical than waiting for RFE. My attorney suggested to wait for RFE but i know someone who did not hear the attorney's advise and went ahead with medical. He wrote some covering letter for his response to USCIS. His case was approved within weeks. In other forums i am reading, some are still waiting even though they interfiled.

I did not submit my medicals during I485. One reason is that i have taken one dose of Covid Vaccine during my submission. I was told that i should not take any more vaccines in between Covid dose. Also, my spouse was not allowed to take at that time. So i just went without medicals. With cases transferred, Nebraska going on snail phase, i feel even if interfile - they are going to take their own time. So i feel to wait for them to come back.

In short, there is no one way of doing it and it is totally a personal preference. My attorney recommended me not to submit medical along with my AOS application. Further when I checked about interfiling when the cases were being processed quickly and when USCIS was asking people to keep their medicals ready, still they recommended that I wait until I get my RFE to submit medicals. I followed my attorney's advise. Saying this, I have seen people in this forum, get their GCs by both submitting medicals at the time of applying or through interfiling. Hope this helps.

    What did you do?

    my 140 - 7/27/2021 - case received state
    485 - received date 10/18 to NBC
notice date - 12/20 - case transferred to Nebraska.
131 and 765 still in NBC.

I think since my 140 is pending my 485 is transferred to nsc. No updates after that. Indeed my 765 was rejected stating incorrect fee. My attorney is refilling it as they told there is no fee for 765 since it’s filed with 485. Also told me that the 485 will not affect due to 765 rejection as it’s just an advantage only.

how long shld I wait to get my bio notice from Nebraska for 485? This creates so much anxiety and information will be helpful to prepare self on the wait period.

May be my timeline will help give you some perspective on the processing time. I filed my i140 in Jan this year and i'm still waiting for a response. Though some cases was processed in 6-8 months, typical wait time for I140 seems to be 8-12 months.

My AOS was submitted in May. I completed my biometrics in Sep. Got my combo card a couple of weeks back.

Based on updates shared in this forum, you can expect updates around the below timelines

    1. Biometrics appointment around Mar'22 - Apr'22
    2. I 140 approval around May'22 - Jun'22
    3. Receive combo card around Jun'22 - Jul'22
    4. Receive your 693 RFE around Oct'22-Nov'22
    5. If you have already submitted your medical with AOS, you might get your GC around Nov'22-Dec'22.

Please note that the above is just my guess based on the updates I've seen in this forum and my own experience. USCIS processing is totally unpredictable though so can't associate a confidence level with the above guestimate.

My I-140 was approved in September 2020. As you say it’s just frustrating because it all seems so totally random.

Most of these approvals are happening from NBC. In my case, the case numbers immediately ahead and below are approved where as mine was transferred to NSC. As far as i know, they are bit slow in processing the cases.
In the case that you saw, they had filed the I140 in Nov but had waited to file 485 until after I140 approval. I've seen some people do that to avoid the wait times in the service centers. May be that's the right approach than filing concurrently
