Is Mumbai consulate scheduling interviews for IR5 (Parent of a U.S. citizen)

Finally!!!!

DQ June 2020, received Interview date for January 12, 2022 at Mumbai for both my parents. Now I can't find any VAC appointments in Mumbai or Delhi!
Is this something new that's happening now?

I am able to see couple dates in Kolkata for end of December but that will be very inconvenient for my elderly parents to first go Amritsar to Kolkata for fingerprints and then Mumbai for interview.

Wondering if the dates open up? or there's a way to request appointments based on the interview date.

It seems that several people have received interview calls this week and so there seems to be a problem for obtaining Bio Metric appointments. Also I notice that DS 260 has an expiry date. What happens if that expires before the interview.

You need to create account in USATRAVELDOCS

Once you take visa appointment and choose IR5, at the last step it will ask to add anyone to the main applicant. You can enter the accompanying parent here. I am not able to get any dates before Jan 31 at Mumbai

Hi Guys,
I was reading all messages and people have PCC questions, so let me tell you one thing about PCC. If your PCC is expired and new PCC is in- process and interview date is current then don't miss or reschedule your interview. You must go with expired PCC and let them know the situation that we got a short notice of interview date. The PCC process is already started but we haven't gotten the new PCC yet. I have a expired PCC. So They will tell you to submit it later.
Could anyone please share the interview questions.?

Can the Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) be done walk-in? Also, any experience with Medical done at MAX new Delhi? How long does it take? We got email yesterday, no letter as yet. DQ May 13,2020 Appointment Jan 05.

Don't be panic. You already started the PCC process, so that is not your fault because they scheduled interview in short time. They will allow in the embassy for interview because for entry they don't ask for PCC. When your turn to face officer and they ask you give me PCC give them expired PCC and let them know this is expired and new one is in - process. I will submit when we get it. Also, you can show them message from PCC(make a print out from your phone). It was the same situation with me but I got PCC just one day ahead of interview. Hope this will help you.

Sometimes in biometric appointment I only see 1 slot available, so any idea if I can take it.

For those who received email but no letter, what do you plan to do? Both Biometric and Medical is asking for physical copy of IL.

If you do not have a valid PCC , you will get 221g objection .
