In the form itself i think in the top they will mention the traking number, you can go to http://chennai.usconsulate.gov/adminprocess.html website, you can fine a .pdf file, it will be updated reqularly by consulate. It contains the status of AAP case.
2)Will VO provide any reference number at the time os isuueing yellow/pink form for tracking our case?(he didn't provide any ref num on my case)
Top of Pink form reference number will be avilable.

H1b 221(g) AAP and B1 221(g). Great confusion..Need help
Hi,
I have great story for H1 and B1 visas. Please read it carefully
I am working in India with MNC and I applied for H1b from US employer A and went for stamping at chennai consulate. during interview the VO gave me 221(g) (blue) stating required additional administrative processing and they took all my ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS, CLIENT DOCUMENTS AND PROJECT DETAILS AS WELL. They had doubt in education qualification. I did my B.Sc in electronics and I have 8.5 years of exeperience. The AAP took them 1.5 years and during this time I changed my job in India from one MNC to another MNC.Now this new MNC filed my B1 visa for training at US office. Just before my B1 stamping at delhi consulate I got a mail from chennai consulate to appear for personal interview with required documents (what a timing). Since for B1 everything was done, i went ahead for B1 visa at Delhi consulate. The VO at delhi consulate asked me several questions and finally told me that your existing petetion is pending at chennai consulate, why did you come here for the interview. I told the VO that the B1 is from different company and wherever they told I applied for stamping. Then VO told that I can not issue visa at this time, you need to go to chennai consulate for interview and gave me another 221(g) AAPthis time yellow color. The B1 visa is pending just because H1b petetion is still pending otherwise I think delhi VO should have approved my B1 visa. I asked the VO whether I need to go for B1 or H1 at chennai consulate but she rudely told me that do whatever you want to do, your case is confusing.
Now I am confused on what to do since I have got 2 221(g) forms for different reasons. The US employer is ready to give me all the required documents (but I have not told him the B1 case since it happened recently). Now can you please clarify my following doubts?
1)What the chennai consulate will do since delhi consulate must have sent the B1 application for AAP
2) Which Visa should I get first to gracefully come out of this situation?
3) What are the chancing for getting H1b now after 1.5 years of AAP processing and applying for B1 visa? -- this is my biggest worry.
4) What kind of questions/clarification/documents will chennai consulate will ask for having 2 221(g) for 2 visa types?
5) If i go to chennai consulate ask me about B1 and give me and option to choose from H1b or B1?
6) What is your suggestion on which visa should be attended first?
Please note that I had no bad intension for applying multiple visa and I told everything about my H1b visa to current employer. And my prospective US employer is also supportive to give me all the required documents.
I would highly appreciate if someone can give an expert opinion. These visas have screwed my life for last 1.5 years and I want to come out of this ASAP.I am not able to decide anything at this moment.

221(g) Green Form
My H1B is also refused and consulate office issued and 221(g) green form ticking AAP.
He also said verbally that I am qualified for H1 But the project is not fine and he took the tax docs, project docs, petition and told that he will send them to USCIS and they will take a decision.
He just returned my passport and did not made any stamp on my passport.
I am hearing about 221(g) blue form BUT what does this green form
How long it may take for me to get approval and what are the all other chances that may happen with my case..
Thanks,
Vijay

Hi everyone
This thread provided a lot of useful information for people with 221(g) questions and mine is also a similar case. So, I would request all the experienced folks to look at my case and help me out as this is the first time something of this sort has happened to me.
I did my Masters of Science from a US university and stayed in the US for past three years from Jan 2004. I graduated in april 2006 and started working for an American based consulting firm for client Motorola. My H1-B started from Jan 8 2007 and recently came down to India to get my visa stamped when all the problems arised.
I had the interview on May 8 at Chennai and the first thing the VO saw was my F-1 visa in my passport and asked me to show the MS degree which I showed. Immediately he cancelled my F-1 visa and and asked me if this was the first job for which I replies in affirmative. Next he asked if it was an inhouse project or a project at a clients place. I replied that it was a client project. Thts it, even without asking anything else, he said he needs some more documents and gave me the 221(g) blue form with all the documents required from the petitioner ticked and asked me to post it with my passport using the drop box.
I am so confused at all of this stuff and totally lost. First of all, i did my MS in electrical engineering and the job I do at Motorola is also electrical engineering based. My consulting company is a genuine American company and have all the paystubs for the past nine months with me which the VO did not ask. He did not even ask for the offer letter from the petitioner.
I have asked my attorney and my petitioner to send me the requested documents at the earliest. Now my worry is that will I ever be issued a visa coz to begin with I didnot see any problem in my case, I had a job for the past 9 months, still do, qualify educationally for H1-B. I even booked my return ticket for June 24 2007. Will I get my visa stamped if I submit all the requested documents and did anyone have a similar experience of getting the 221(g) after returning from the US?
The thing with my petitioner is that it only hires US citizens or permanent residents and has only a few H1-B holders working for it. Will this fact work against me in getting the visa? It has around 70 employees overall. And also between my company and the client( Motorola) there is a prime vendor. Will this have any affect on my visa?
I once again request all of you to help me out and from your experience could you tell me how this thing would workout.
I thank everyone beforehand for their valuable inputs

221g issued in London in March' 06
I was issued a 221g form from the London Embassy in March 2006 and I havent heard anything from them so far. Everytime I email them they say my case is under processing and will notify as soon as a decision is made.
My case is stuck under employer check. They wanted to confirm the credentials of my employer. Till date my employer have not received any phone calls from USCIS or the London Embassy.
Its around 14 months and I am still counting. Kindly please tell me a way out of this situation.
Regards,
sKs
