HELP: L2 Status when L1 is no longer on US payroll

I?m on L2 visa and I?m living separately (domestic dispute) from my husband who is on L1. My current I-94 expires on 02/10/2019, but I received a document / letter from my husband that he is leaving is job in US and from 12/10/2018 he will be no longer in US employers payroll and that he is leaving US on 12/10/2018 itself.

My question is this ? Can I continue to stay in US as per i94 which is 02/10/2019 or I have to leave US on or before 12/10/2018 which is husband?s last payroll date. ??

L2 is a dependent visa & does not hold any status if primary applicant is not maintaining his status.

Its merely a matter of 2 months & I don't think you would like to take risk for your future visas/visits.
