Regarding G1145 notification for I-751 application
Hi, my I-751 case delivered on 30th December in Texas office. I submitted G-1145 notification form. How long does does it take to get notification for the case?

Hi,
I sent my application on august 1st and was delivered to the Phoenix AZ center on august 9th.
I got a NOA on september giving me an extension for 18 months.
Its been 4 months and I have not received my biometrics appointment. Is that normal?

I tried to do a case inquiry, but it says it's still in the normal processing times.

I live in NC.

GC Renewal
Just sharing my experience especially for those who are unsure about the actual process. I live in NY and the process might be faster or longer depending on the state you live in. My GC was already expired about 6 months prior to filing a renewal.

11/20 Filed an I-90 Application online. Received the receipt notice email.

11/23 I received an email that an appointment has been scheduled. The schedule was still not available on my USCIS online account at this time. It usually takes a few days.

11/25 I received the receipt notice in the mail and my biometrics appointment date was now available online.

11/29 I received the appointment letter in the mail.

12/09 Biometrics Appointment @3pm. They required me to bring my Appointment letter and GC, a valid photo ID (passport, driver's license, state-issued photo ID or any government-issued document and Change of Information (Only if you had a name change). I went in half an hour early and I was the only one too so the whole process didn't even take 5 minutes. The guy ask for my appointment letter and green card, then took my picture and scanned my finger prints. After that, he put a sticker on the back of my expired card extending it for a year until I get my new green card in the mail.

12/13 I got an email that they already produced my new GC and that they're completing their final quality review. So I might get it sometime next week.

I751 Biometrics appointment waived or not?
Hello,

Back in September I got a notice in the mail telling me that the USCIS was going to be able to reuse my biometrics information (taken sometime in April 2016 right before I received my conditional GC). Yesterday I got a second notice and there is a date and a time for a biometrics appointment! Why would they change their mind? is this good or bad? It is bad for me since I had travel plans for Thanksgiving and now I need to change those plans. Do you know of any similar cases, reasons and outcomes? Thank you.

GC renewal Vs Naturalization
Hi Guys,

I need some advice from some wise folks here. Let me also know if this is any other forum I can check.

Me and spouse have GC since 07/2010 which was EB based. Thought/Need of naturalization never occurred to us but now since we have a remaining GC validity of less than 9 months, we are in fix. We are not sure if we start Naturalization process or renew our GC when we are within six months of expiry.

Based on the current processing time for either, we cannot get either before our GC expire. Our DL is also tied to the GC expiry date. Our employment status may be tied also.

Can somebody suggest what could be a better approach and what need to be done as we get close to GC expiry? Do we start naturalization now in Nov 2019 or start GC renewal in Jan 2020?

We do have a college bound USC kid, starting next fall.

Thanks in advance and will certainly appreciate your thoughts!

I filed my Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence on January 23rd 2019. 90 days before my green card expired in April. I received my biometrics in April. Everything went well. My account status on the website shows no update since they received my application. Not even my biometrics letter. Looks like my application is at the California Center.

Is anyone out there in the same status as mine?
