To be Scheduled for Oath ceremony
Happy New Year, y’all!
I promised to keep you guys posted of my progress, and so I’m happy to share the latest update which is “to be scheduled for oath ceremony”. I’m not going to give all the details of my journey that began in 2016 here - if anyone wants to know more, just click on my name and you’ll see all the experiences I’ve shared so far with all the dates, and details on when I started, how, where and when. Here, I just wanted to say that I had my n400 interview on December 28 (finally! And after it was cancelled twice due to Covid) at the Miami office, and the whole thing took about 20-30 min from the moment I got called into the interview room by the officer. This time, I was fortunate to meet an officer who was really nice, sweet, and very professional. I got all 6 questions answered correctly right away:

- What are the two rights that everyone living in the US has?
- What ocean is on the west side?
- What’s the highest court in the US?
- Who was the US President during world war 1?
- Why colonists fought the Britts?
- Who’s the president of the US?

Then, he asked me to read the sentence “We all must file taxes”, and then write the sentence “We celebrate Christmas in December”.

Then, he asked a bunch of the “No” and “Yes” questions, he also asked me to verify the current address, and all previous addresses in the US. Also, where I work now and what I did before. He also asked me if I’d traveled anywhere outside the US in the last 6 months. Then, he started flipping through my passport pages, asking randomly why and when I’d traveled to Brussels, Sydney, Capetown, London, etc - lol I travel a lot for work, and so he asked about those places and where I wanted to travel next, and if there was a place in the world where I hadn’t been to yet lol. Then, he said “congratulations, I’m going to recommend you for the oath ceremony and you should hear from us within 2-3 weeks”. Then he walked me out and wished my a happy new year. Before I got into my car, my online status changed to “to be scheduled for oath ceremony. We’ll mail a notice within 30 days”. I’m happy and can’t wait for the journey to be over! Wishing all of you a lot of happiness and love in 2021!

Should I change my address?
Hi everyone,

I just got notice that my interview has been scheduled (unsure of when because I haven't received the letter yet). But I am moving states this week. My question is; if I tell USCIS that I have moved, will they move the field office and therefore delay my application? I am happy to travel back to my current state for the interview and ceremony and have someone at my previous address who will forward any correspondence. TIA!
