NYC N400 Filer

Hello, I am hoping to get some help here. I filed my N400 at the end of December 17' in NYC. Currently the "estimated case completion time" is October 18' (from September 18' initially but still solid). My green card is expiring in June, and today I went to USCIS to get an I-551 stamp, I was told I cannot get the stamp unless I filed six months before expiration. I was a few days late ...

The rep at USCIS suggested me to file I-90 to renew my green card in order to get stamp since the estimated time is likely to delay, but when I looked at the history in this forum, looks like NYC has processed to Sept 17' filed case and in that case I may be just a few months away.

Any advice here? I dont want to spend $540 and get interview notice the next few days, but on the other hand dont want to lose the capability to travel for more than a few months.

Is the estimated case completion time includes the time from interview to oath? Or it's at best getting the interview only? If I am more than likely to not get citizenship until 19', I will file I-90 now. If it could happen within 18' then I would try to save the money.

Thanks for the help and advice in advance.

Registered to vote as permanent resident
I am going to apply for naturalization. I turned 18 on July 2018, one month later I went to the dmv to apply for a driver liscense. I had no knowledge on the whole voting concept. I registered to vote & 9 months later today ( may 2018) I went to the county clerk & unregistered and received a certified letter explaining on how I never voted or attempted to.
In my defense I had no idea on the rights and responsibilities of a PR.
I am hoping you all can provide me with past experiences & advice.
Thank you!

interview next week
hello everyone. im from Oakland Park FL

i discovered that i put one of US depart / entry date wrongly in N400 form.

should i mention if right after interviewer made me swear ? or wait for interviewer to ask me about it ?

because according to my mistake about date, i look like i stood more than 6 months in 1 trip. but the real total date of staying is less than 6 months of course.

what do you suggest friends ? thanks and good luck of all of us

Is online submission of N-400 taking priority over manual submission?
Hello:

I am San Francisco filer filed my N-400 in Aug 2017 (at that time no online submission). I heard that those who apply online are getting priority over manual applications. Two of my friends who applied online N-400 got their citizenship quicker (in less than 3 months or so in San Francisco jurisdiction)

This is really biased and should be reported to USCIS.

Please let me know if you have such experiences and also can we withdraw online and reapply online for quick process?

Note: I am not frustrated for the wait. I am OK. However, I am really pissed of due to treatment due to online vs offline applicants. it is not that I (and many other prior applicants) applied using mail option but because there was no online option. Now they are showing bias. If this is the case we will NEVER get our applications processed.

FO: Boston, MA / In line for oath ceremony
I had my interview for naturalization on 05/01/2018. 1 week later on May 7th my online status was updated and it says '' We placed you in line for oath ceremony and will send you a notice for Receipt Number xxxxxxxxxxxxx, with the date, time and location of your oath ceremony. ''

Does anyone receive the oath ceremony letter with date and time for the current month "May" ?

Thanks.
