Me and my wife had interview at the Mumbai consulate on October 24th to get our H1 and H4 visas renewed respectively. The VO asked me the regular questions and approved my visa. My wife works in the US for a pharma company on the basis of H4 EAD and has a degree in Biotechnology. The VO issued her a 221g blue slip and asked to submit invitation letter, resume, travel, research and publications over email. We submitted the documents on October 26 and are waiting for any further updates. The CEAC status still shows the last updated date as October 24 (the day of our interview). Update - Got the email to submit passport on 15th November. Submitted on 15th and was ready for pick up on November 17th. CEAC status updated for the first time and was changed to Issued on 16th. Picked up the passport on 19th.

Sep 22: visa interview with my family. H1b was granted to my spouse, and h4 to our 2 children. The VO stated that it would take some time to process my papers. This was after an interview that probably lasted for 30-35 mins ( including spouse) VO kept the passport and I received it in the mail a week later with a 221g blue slip with the words "Review Sevi Hit" no documents were requested. My spouse and kids got their visas stamped in their passports. Nov 11 : no word yet, sent an email twice. first email they requested I send a scan of the 221g, the second time was the generic reply Background: I have travelled to the US several times, as a student(f1) as an h1b worker and as a student dependent(f2) . Now it seems to me that the sevi hit is that my f2 was auto terminated upon the completion of my spouses degree. I was told this was standard procedure by sevis itself. However termination can also happen when something illegal takes place and hence the review
