08/14/17: Visa center for fingerprints
08/16/17: Visa interview at embassy (H1, H4). She took all the passports (of mine and family).
08/17/17: Case update
08/18/17: Got an email saying I was found ineligible under 214b with some questionnaire that are actually questions from form DS5535
08/19/17: Replied to the questionnaire. Received confirmation email stating my questionnaire was received and my case is under administrative processing. They returned the passports.
08/20/17: Collected passports
10/17/17:
Received an email around 11:50 am asking some question. Replied immediately.
Again around 3:00 pm received an email requesting to submit passports of all of mine and my family's.
10/19/17: Submitted passports
10/20/17: Last case update
10/23/17: Status: ISSUED
10/24/17: (Passports ready for pick up) Picked up passports

My VFC was on Sep 21 2017 and my visa appointment date is Sep 22 2017.
I work as EC model and I work for a fortune 300 Vendor. Even my client is fortune 250 giant.
My counselor asked me basic questions like
VO: Took my passport. Looked at screen and said so you work for xxxx
Me : Yes mam
VO: How long have you been working with them
Me: For nearly 1 and half year
VO: So who is your client
Me: My client is XYZ
VO: can you spell it out
Me: Spelled it
VO: So have you done masters in US
Me: Yes Mam. I did master in so and so state university
VO: what is your current salary
Me: XXXXXX
VO: What is your current role
Me: I work as SQL Business Intelligence developer
VO: Where do you live

She then replied me that " You visa is currently refused and handed me with a paper (221g). I asked her is the 221g mam.? she replied me, yes and I asked what will be my next steps? she said you will get information in an email or through SMS.

I had a short interview in which only my I797B was collected along with my passport.
I didn´t realize at first what was going on I never heard of this before. This is definitely the
most stressful process ever given the high level of uncertainty. Anyone with a similar story
in Colombia?
Could the fact that my change of status was denied because I had to travel during the H1-B
processing cause this? If so, how bad is my situation.

Hi,
I had my h4 visa interview today. My wife is a dentist in the US. She recently got her h1b approval (yet to come to India for stamping). Interview was pretty basic. Very sweet VO. She asked me if I was in the US for 6 months on my tourist visa (this was when I got married to my wife, and stayed back) and if I was questioned separately by the CBP (this was after i stayed in the US for 6 months, happened when I was entering the US after that).
At the end of the interview she gave me the 221g yellow slip which said Administrative Processing and said they will contact me in any further documents requested from my end.
VO retained the passport and said "shouldnt take long"
Ceac last update : 14th September 2017 (Administrative Processing)
1st status update: Administrative Processing on 16th October 2017
2nd Status update: ISSUED (17th October 2017)
18th October - After following up with the VAC office, got a mail at 3 pm to pick up the passport between (9-4pm)

- attended in-person interview on 8/17, where VO issued blue slip asking for company's tax document, project description, itinerary of services and I-140.
- all docs submitted on 9/6 (3 weeks after interview date); received an update on 9/12 (within a week) asking for client contract and itinerary of services
- requested docs submitted on 9/21; received an update on 9/28 (1 week later) asking to submit passport
- passport submitted on 10/3
- at USCIS site (https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx) case last update changed on 10/10 but status was still “Administration Processing”
- on 10/13 (exactly after 3 working days) USCIS case status changed to “Issued”
- passport collected on 10/17

At the time of Interview, they asked employer tax returns and project related documents.By mistake, I provided my old project related documents. Visa officer took those documents and returned my PP with 221g white slip.
