Just wanted to share my interview experience.
I had my F1 visa interview for visa extension. My first F1 expired after 4 years. The interview went well, the officer was pretty cool. She said that the second processing would be much much faster that the first one. My first one on 2011 took 21 days. So, I was pretty relieved. Unfortunately, the processing took much longer this time (almost a month). Just wanted to share my experience so others can plan better.
Because students going to F1 are increasing considerably, the administrative processing time would only increase.
My only complain is the total lack of any information during the whole process. After document submission, there's virtually nothing you can do, which makes for a very unnerving one month.

A)I have answer its a in-house project I work from my employer location
He went inside and came back and gave 221g Blue slip and took the copy(Xerox) of master agreement and did tick or ask any document to submit and return my passport...HERE is my questions
Interview Date : Nov 9th
When I check the status on 10th is Show administrative Processing with Status Updated Date 9th Nov
Status Update date has changed twice in a week on 12th and 19th But it still shows administrative Processing..I'm really getting nervous.
Does anyone in the same situation from Chennai Consulate ? What do you think of Status update date change twice in a week ?

Hi,
My wife went for H4 visa stamping on 20th Nov VO approved her visa and said you will receive your passport in 2 business days. 2 hour after interview got call from consulate to submit My(main applicant) H1B copy she submitted on same day. after 2 days when I check status on ceac website status still shows "Ready" then today on 23rd I called NIV they said visa not issued yet its under admin processing.
can some one let me know how long it will take to get result from AP? do I need to do anything at this point except just wait?
My wife's BG: she came US on H4 3 yrs back she did COS to F1 then H1 worked on H1 for year now went for stamping for H4.
appreciate any reply.

Attended h1b visa interview in Frankfurt on 21/10/2015 with my family. After asking all the regular questions asked for all the documents (resume, i797) and i129 form. Passports returned back saying they will contact us when processing is done.

VO issued 221(g) white slip and took passport along with documents available with me at time of interview.No more documents asked. Status showing AP still waiting for a status update. I work in a big MNC, also client is a big US firm. Don't know why got 221g.

Still no change in status : 9th Nov
Still no updates, Now its showing no status for the passport in ustravel docs site. Don't know what this means. Earlier it was saying passport with consulate. : 13 Nov
Waiting for last one year. First lottery, then RFE, then 221g...don't know how much more is left. Feeling annoyed.
Got first status change today 18 Nov
Hope it get approved soon.

I am one of the 221G Survivor My story began in early Aug 2015. I attended visa interview on first week of Aug and got 221 g. Submitted documents on same week and after long wait and submission of more documents after 2 months My visa approved. I had an interview at toronto. Not a good experience. Looks like VO was a beginner and did not care about my answers at all. VO was keep insisting that I never went to india and was in USA from 2007. I explained VO about my entry and exit dates and travels to india. Also requested VO to take a look at my old passport but VO was not ready to even take a look at it and mentioned that there is no record of your exit from USA. What the heck !! I mean its unbelievable that they don't have any record of it . VO even asked me my social and typed in the computer. After asking couple of questions VO went inside with my passport and I797. Came back after a while with determined face and was trying to figure out which color of slip I should get. Then picked up green color and asked to show me the petition. I showed VO the petition which I got from employer ..again did not bother to even look at it and said it's not complete and wrote on green slip that full petition submission is required.

Applied for the E3 Visa from the Sydney office and the company name on the LCA was different to the company name on the offer letter, so I submitted a new offer letter on November 5th. It is now two weeks and it still says "administrative processing". They kept my passport and I would like to know if there is a way I can find out how long this is going to take before I get my passport back?
