After 7 months still under Administrative processing. I checked the USCIS site with receipt no.every week .till now status did not change .Employer says "without any change in status we cannot do anything". I tried to meet the employer personally. Hi Just wanted to share my experience.
Little background :
Working in U.K with a work permit.
New h1 Visa
My petition got approved on 14th August.
I have attended interview in London. Biometrics and Interview will be on same day.
After the interview the visa officer has told that at this moment we are unable to either issue/Deny. We will contact you for further detais.
My passport has been retained and i have not been given any slip.
When i tracked my DS 160, i saw it as admin processing. Now the trouble started. Firstly i informed my employer about this.
Thanks to google,read many scary stories in a week :)
I have UK work permit only till november. I had to get my passport in 6 weeks.
I was not even sure if my case was 221g or not. Finally on 30th september date changed but it was still under Admin processing.
So as per the users here with the previous experience i was little happy as it's a good sign if the date gets changed. Finally on 2nd Oct the state changed to Issued

Update: My client manager told methat he was sent an email by USCIS for enquiry which he responded on 9/26
1. Attended biometrics at the Mumbai consulate on 9/2. Went without a hitch, completed the process in 10 mins
2. Attended the interview at Mumbai consulate on 9/3 with my wife.
VO: Good morning, how are you?
Me: very well and you?
VO: passports and 797 please
Me: (submitted)
VO: is this for h1b
Me: yes, for restamping
VO asked standard questions regarding employer, salary,etc also asked if love or arranged marriage
Took some time , called another officer and spent few minutes on the computer.
After some time handed over whiteslip and said everything fine from my side, he needs more details from employer side.
I asked if i can submit any letters (i had all the client letters) , but he said he needs from employer.
I talked to employer and attorney, and documents were submitted on 9/8

Hi All,
I had my H1B stamping interview on 01SEP2015, with few formal and usual questions I was given 221g blue slip. Passport and resume retained by VO.He said by afternoon I should expect an email if required more documents. But I have still havent received any communication. It has been 2 weeks and not status update or change.
I am more worried as they havent asked for any of the docs yet. Should it be fine? Does retaining the passport and not asking for any docs indicate anything?
