I am a dependent and my visa is under admin processng since Aug 28, 2014. I have not been asked to sumbit any documents. I do not know when I will get to hear from the chennai consulate . It has been such a frustrating 5 month wait already. The heldpdesk dos not reply to my mails either. I do not know how to get any information regarding my case.

My interview was all of basic questions.No documents were asked while in interview.I was handed over a Blue slip with case number.Later that afternoon after interview i got a mail asking for documents like
1)Letter of invitation.
2)CV/Resume.
3)Advisor/Contact person in US.
4)Date of travel in last 10years.
Documents sent : 8th DEC 2014.
My school reporting date is 20th JAN 2015.I am confused and worried ,I m desparately waiting to get my case issued soon.

I had F1 visa renewal interview on Dec 29. THe VO took my passport and resume and gave 221G blue form. He asked my about the school start date and I told him Jan 20. He told you will get visa in about 2 weeks. It has been now more than 2 weeks but the status is administrative processing. But from Jan 10 the status of passport has changed to "Status update not available for the passport". My school starts on Jan 20. I was wondering will I get my visa by then or what is the typical time taken for 221G forms

Hi,
I had my F1 Visa interview on Dec 10th. Since then I am checking my Visa status in CGI Federal. I was given 221g blue and was told that they have to go through the docs (My resume and univ. letter) that I submitted during my interview. Till 23rd Dec the status said that "You passport is still with the US consulate". After that the status changed to " Document delivery information:". It has been more than week since that change (" Document delivery information:"). CEAC has not been updated with current date (last update was actually on 10th Dec, my interview day). And the US travel docs has no information on my passport. I have also sent an e-mail inquiry and got the response as "no status update available for this passport number". What does it mean when the status update says "Document delivery information:"? How long does it take to update the information in CEAC? Why is there this much discrepancy in the status? Have anyone gone through the same?
