Hi,
Interview was done on 13th Aug 2019 in Chennai.
The visa officer handed over a 221(g) pink slip.
The next day i received an email from the consulate fro additional docs. I replied to the same email within 2 days with all docs.
I did not receive any response for the consulate. My application is still under administrative processing.
Should i have replied to the email sent by the consulate for submitting the docs or i should send an new email ?

So i had my F1 visa interview on the 9th of june, on 20th my case was updated to administrative processing with a mail given to me to fill out DS5535. After filling it up i sent back on 23rd of June. My case has been stuck ever since, every time i open the CEAC website i just see 20-06 administrative processing. I have sent numerous mails and even visited the consulate just to hear the same thing which is automated. Your case is on administrative processing. Can anyone help me on this. My uni has started and I'm really confused on what to do. Did anyone else experience something similar?

I had got 221g for J1 visa before. Both cases were mostly for TAL(in my case the subject was physics) and asked me to submit the documents through email. The wait times were similar and took about 3-4 weeks in both cases. Really glad to finally get it as things were uncertain to the point that I had to ask my university to defer my admission in case I get delayed which they agreed to.
