It took 2 years to get this done.
And we thought there would be interview; for individual applicant (who is single, without spouse), we heard people got interview waived. But I have my wife in our I-485, so we didn't expected our interview to be waived.
So I think we are really lucky.
Good luck to everyone here!
recently I just finished the marriage based I-485 interview. Me and my wife have married 21 months, and our only kid is already 15 months old, so based on our situation, the officer who interviewed us didn’t ask us many questions about our marriage, but, printed us a RFE letter at the end of the interview to ask me provide evidence that proves I attended school in the past. I did attend the school and I hav enough documents could prove that, but the problem is, the RFE letter exactly asks me to provide a school-sealed envelope including certified transcript, and tuition bills. It’s not a big deal in normal times, but currently the school office suspended its operation because of the COVID-19 and no specific re-open time is given, I tried to contact the school through the phone and email, but got no response. This school is a language school, because of the current situation, I think the school might be experiencing a tough time because no source of students, so it will probably continue shutting down in the next couple months.
So, my questions is, should I submit the documents I have in my hand at this moment, like I-20, certification of attendance, transcripts, part of the tuition bills instead of the school-sealed documents that the officer requested, or, I have to spent much more time to contact the school and ask them to provide the documents? If based on the contents, I think what I have in my hand could completely prove what USCIS asks me to prove, but based on what USCIS asks me to provide, I am not able to provide the exact qualified documents.
Update from my last post a couple days ago. My mother passed away yesterday morning. USCIS did not help me in time to get advance
Parole. They finally got back to us yesterday evening and said it can take upto 30 days to get appointment because I still need my biometrics. How is this emergency service ? I wasnt by her side and now I may not be at her funeral :( If you have any suggestions on what I could do. please reply,
We were thinking of driving to the field office Monday in hopes of being able to talk to someone, but the worst scenario just keeps happening so they probably won't even help me get to the UK :(

My status was changed to Ready to schedule for interview on Jan 15 2020. No update yet. Me and wife are planning to move to Charleston, SC. Will that be ok to move in this stage of my application? Will I go back in the queue and my case will get delayed? Or will that be faster given that Charleston has less no. of cases as compare to Los Angeles?
