All the best!!!

I485 interview experience Employer based EB2 Cross chargeability
Hi all,

I have been a silent lurker on this thread for last couple of months.
I and my spouse had our interviews yesterday (Oct 23rd).

I wanted to do my part and share my interview experience for Employer based EB2 cross chargeability.

My I-140 was already approved with priority date July 2015.

Nationality information:
Primary applicatant (me) - Counrty of origin - India
My spouse - Country of origin - Argentina.

Here's my timeline -

Wedding date - Jan 25th 2019
I-485 cross chargeability application received by USCIS: April 22nd 2019
Biometric Appointment: June 5th 2019
EAD and Adv Parole approval: Sept 4th 2019
Interview notice generated: Sept 12th 2019
Interview date: Oct 23rd 2019

Interview Experience:

We were extremely anxious the night before.
We went through our documents 1000s of times, practiced relationship based questions and couldn't sleep all night.

Interview was scheduled at 12pm. We got in the USCIS office at 11:40 am
We were called in for the interview at around 12:30 pm.

The interviewer was a lady in her 40s, she was very professional and seemed meticulous in her work.

We took the oath, fingerprints and photos and the interview started.

The officer only asked for my Employee Verification Letter and asked me if there had been any changes in my job since the application was submitted. I said no and gave her the letter that I had got from my lawyers.

Then she went over with the typical questions on the I485 form with both of us. All answers from us were no.

She asked my wife if she's working anywhere, and she told the officer her emplyoer's name and location. The officer paused for a while, and she realized that my spouse must have received her H4 EAD card which we had received after the aplication was submitted. She noted the employer's information on my spouse's file with the name of her employer.

AND THAT IS IT.

The officer didn't ask for any other documents, no originals, no passports, birth certificates, marriage certificate, translations, nothing.
She fliped through some more pages from our submitted application and finally said -
"I have everything I need, your documents are in order. I will get the Visa numbers from the system this afternoon. You will receive the card in mail in 7-10 days".

The officer did not give me any document stating the approval or anything of that sort, it was all verbal.

Officer then confirmed my address and she told us to enjoy and relax the rest of the afternoon.

The intreview lasted for less than 20 min.

I checked our status at night on Oct 23rd and it had changed to -
"Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed"

It has been stuck at this step all day today (Oct 24th).
But since we got a verbal approval, I am not worried much (just a little).
I hope it changes to "Case is approved" soon.

Thanks to all for your experiences and timelines. They helped me and my spouse a lot during our preparation process. I wish best of luck to all of you here. And I hope you all have a smooth transition to a Green Card holder :)

Ready To Schedule Interview-9/12/2019
Interview Scheduled -9/13/2019
Interview was Today Oct 24/2019
The ISO told me she thought my marriage was fake based off of the passport photos we sent and age.
The interview went really well, even tho my wife file for me the ISO asked her most the questions.
Like where did my mother worked in my foreign country, My fathers name, what bus is close to my house what trains are close by.
She said she didn’t want to ask me questions because I seen so ready and my wife was nervous. She never even asked me my wife name or birthday so wierd, she then looked at the photos and started really bonding with us I found this really weird to but I went with the energy became so we started talking about her kids being black and Republicans.(BTW WE ARE STILL BEIJG RECORDED) she got really personal about where she’s from and started even talking about coke cases she had to deny. Overall I think I’m was blessed I can’t say lucky I was approved on the spot she then told me they transferred my case to the Queens field because it was faster.
I got my GC IN 5 MONTHS YOU GUYS IM HAPPY AS HELL MAN, can’t say long journey it was short I never received an EAD OR WORK PERMIT 5 FREAKING MONTHS UNBELIEVABLE PEOPLE BEEN WAITING YEARS THE SYSTEM FAVOR YOUTHS THANK YOU GUYS FOR GETTON MY THROUGH THIS NO GOOD LUCK JUST BLESSINGS

Philadelphia, marriage based.
Hey,

Adjusting from H1b here, so don't really care about an EAD. Been working for a few years on my H1b.

Here's my timeline:

PD: 4/30 for I-130, 131, 485, 765
Biometrics notice: 5/10
Biometrics done: 5/31
New biometrics notice because first set wasn’t great: 6/14
Second biometrics: 6/17
RFIE: 6/27
RFIE sent and received: 7/24.
Second RFIE: 10/18.
Ready for interview: 10/23.

I have no idea why the second RFIE disappeared, so I called today and they said the second RFIE was a mistake, it was canceled that same day and they sent the request for an interview to my field office, except it didn't update until yesterday.

Both I-765 and I-131 are still as "case received." Both are definitely considered late for April 2019 filers standards, but I don't know if the 3 week delay of the RFIE affects it.

Photos for interview
So when you prepare pictures for the interview - do you have pictures only of you two together? Family? Landscapes on trips?
Right now I'm screenshotting the **** out of Instagram where it's showing dates. Don't know it that will help 🤣 ideas?

Since I don't have any EAD or SSN yet we don't have much joint stuff to show, like insurance etc.
