I-751 Biometrics
Questions!!
1. Why do they reuse some people's fingerprint and some are rescheduled biometrics for form I-751!
2. Does anyone has an EAC case where biometric was reused?
3. Can a case with "Case ready to be schedule for an interview" still be waived?
My Case so far
Oct 15, 2021 - I-751 joint filing document to arizona
Oct 18, 2021 - Document received
Oct 20, 2021 - Receipt notice receive and 24 months extension issued
Nov 24, 2021- Case transferred to another office for processing
Nov 29, 2021 - New office got Jurisdiction( Vermont Service Center)
Nov 29, 2021 - Biometrics was schedule for December 16
Dec 16, 2021 - I competed my biometrics
Jan 19, 2022 - Case ready to be scheduled for an interview
I have a question. If I have an active case (I-751) but I change my address (moving to another state), I know that I have to notify USCIS. Do you know if my case will start from zero days again? Have you had any experience like this?
I have been a silent reader for a while now. However, I felt the need to share as I understand the hope it brings when I see people share their experiences.
My spouse's I-751 case was sent to Vermont (EAC)
I am not great with dates, but we sent the application on January 25th 2021.
We received an update about fingerprints March 9th 2021.
We got the 12months and 24months wait time letter.
We were just started the citizenship application yesterday and today, got the new card produced status update.
Exactly one year later. I have seen comments in the forum saying Vermont processing time is about a year. I guess it is true.
Everyone, please don't give up. a "new card is being produced" is coming your way.
November 2020 Submitted I-751
March 2021 Fingerprints re-use
December 2021 Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction (Transferred from Potomac to National Benefits Center)
Filed N400 with pending I-751 (November 2021)
November 2021 We received your Form N-400
November 2021 Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS
What is the next update and how long will it take to get a response after "case transferred to a new office"?
Thanks for your responses.

So for the I751 we had a lawyer
We sent them
* mortgage info
* joined bank account statements
* credit cards statements
* Gas bill with both names
* car insurance, health insurance, beneficiaries for each other
* some pictures about 20
* flight tickets
* Marriage certificate
* my spouse divorce certificate from her previous marriage
* TAXES
I received an interview notice for my N400 and nothing about the I751.
We arrived one hour early and went eat 20 minutes before 9 ( our appointment time )
We went through security, the guy was friendly and nice.
We went to the officer who was waiting for us and not even asked us for names, he said
So you have two forms here pending, your i751 and your n400 and he asked me for my green card and passport and if I wanted to travel outside of the states. I said no. he asked us also if we wanted to proceed without out lawyer since the lawyer was not there with us. We said we would like to proceed. He said he would do the I751 first and then call me by myself for the N400.
in his office
he asked my spouse to promise to tell the truth and all that funny stuff and then asked me the same and had us seated both in front of him.
He asked me first about my complete name, age, address, where i was born and if my address is my mailing.
He asked my spouse the same but also asked her how we met.
She messed up here big time, she said we met in Sept of 2016 but we met actually in Nov of 2015. The officer said ok and did not really care. I do not think he was listening to us to be honest. We over prepared and provided lost of info and we brought a big binder with lots of documents and pictures also. He then said, I will approve this i751 without any further questions because everything looks good.
He took us to the waiting room and then called me for the N400
Stand up and promise to tell the truth
we start with the history and civics.
What are two parts of the congress?
how old have citizen have to be to vote for president?
who our current vice president?
when do we celebrate independence day?
What was one thing Benjamin Franklin was famous for?
name one war fought by the states in the 1900s
I got all the answers so we moved on
reading
what do we pay for the united states government?
writing
we pay taxes
Then went through the funny questions that you keep saying no, no, no, no
like if you been to jail,terrorist, if you have been arrested or detained.
Then said, you said you have two kids on your N400 and I know you have only one so i think that is a Typo. I said yes thank you.
I also made a change to my hair color.
Then he told me my oath ceremony will be in a month from now.
I am so happy that this nightmare came to a happy end.
I wish you the best of luck.
If you have an I751 and can file N400, do the the first day you become illegible.
Do not interrupt the officer.
be on time.
Come over prepared
dress well
do not sit until they ask you to
listen carefully to what they say
ask if you if you do not understand a question
Please feel free to ask questions, I will be happy to answer
My I751 is transferred to another office after I received 10 year green card
Hi everyone,
I got my 10 year green card in July 2021 and I'm applying for N400. However, today I check my uscis account and saw they transferred my i751 file to another office for processing. It seems weird to me because I already got a 10 year green card. Has anyone have the same notice?
Thank you
Does anyone know which month or date is currently being processed at WAC?
My timeline: Joint file, California center
I-751 filed on August 17th, 2021
18-month extension receipt date: August 19th, 2021
24-month extension receipt date: October 24th, 2021
Fingerprint (biometric) reused/waiver: January 8th, 2022
