This community has been really helpful during my wait times so I decided I will also share my timeline here.
I had a ref, I responded but they didn’t work on it so I called USCIS after 60days of sending the ref with no response. Then a case inquiry was opened for me. Within 30days of the case inquiry my case was transferred to NBC and within another 30days I was scheduled for an interview.
Had the interview on the 15th of November. We didn’t get separated but the IO was mean to us which she did apologize after the interview. She asked me to mention my husband’s name, his date of birth and our home address, she asked him to mention my name, my date of birth and wedding anniversary. She was pissed because my husband came in with just his driver’s license and not birth certificate to confirm if he was born here in the US. And also pissed I didn’t bring my 6years old daughter’s copy of her US passport which she gained through CRBA (child report birth aboard) from my previous relationship. She was like are you sure you aren’t going to file for her and I told her no , you can check my tax for her ssn. She apologized for her attitude after the interview, it didn’t take long as she already took most time looking for my husband’s birth certificate in our old file , which she had to go to her supervisor to confirm if she could proceed with the interview, but they found the birth certificate eventually.
Files submitted with application and for ref are the same;
-bank statements showing both names (savings acct)
-apartment leasing agreement for 4years with both names
-State Farm home insurance with both names
-tax papers but we filled separately , my husband claim head of household and I filled married separately
- pictures about 7-10
- my 401K showing my hubby name
-utilities showing my name only on gas and myself and husband name on Electricity bill.
She told us it will take 2weeks to get an update on the case as she couldn’t approve instantly . She gave a paper and tick the first decision on the paper ( where it says it will be reviewed) got an update exactly one month after the interview.
I hope this helps;
