My dad(81 years) holds an indian passport and is visiting us here in the US. I applied for his canadian visitor visa on May9th as we are going on a cruise next week. I still havent heard back on the status of the visa. All it says is that it is in process.
Please advice if anyone had been through this. Would it help going to New York(as PA where we live falls under new york) directly? I am trying to call but having no luck. I tried to reach out to vfsglobal but had no luck.
Even if I take him to the New York office, seems like I would an appointment to get in. Not sure how to get one as none of the phone numbers seem to have that option and I am not being able to get a hold of anyone.

Dear Members -
It is now more than 9 weeks since biometrics, my ICT Work Permit Application (applied in US) is still pending. If anyone can suggest what I can do? Or If someone can help share their recent experience.
I am applying for Canada ICT work permit from USA. Can I get the biometrics and\or visa stamping done in India after applying from the USA? Asking this question, as I will have to move back to India next month after my 6 year max-out on H1B, and I may not get the work permit approval by that time. Do I need to inform IRCC Canada about my move? How would I get the passport submission letter after work permit approval? Could someone please let me know the process to get ICT work permit visa stamped in a different country than the one we applied from?
